Pros
-Amazing benefits -Super talented co-workers -Vacation days -Fast-paced -Offers so much knowledge
Cons
-could use some more people as the company is growing rapidly
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
The talent at JKR truly is top notch, from entry level roles all the way up the ranks, and this is very apparent with the quality of the work. This is a great place to be in terms of having a lot of diversity in the types of clients to work with, not only in terms of industry but in terms of size. If you want to work at a place that wins awards upon awards, you’ve found a great place.
Cons
With the great work comes hefty hours. Agency life is always demanding, but quite often people are working late into the evening. Expectation for people to be available, even on vacation, and is very difficult to set boundaries. Tend to take on work even if there are not enough staff to cover. In tandem with this, the pay for the amount of hours worked is very poor, which is unfortunate given the skill of many of the people working there. The amount of turnover was incredibly high due to these reasons.

Pros
You get the chance to work with some talented and lovely people. Benefits are quite nice.
Cons
Not a lot of room or support for growth. Felt undervalued. Communication across the board could have been better. Felt like I worked in negative energy more times than less.

Pros
High profile clients and the agency has a huge budget for press and award show submissions, hence why anybody cared about the Burger King rebrand.
Cons
Highest turnover of any agency I've ever been at. The open joke is that CCO is likened to Darth Vader — I think he relishes in that reputation. Culture starts from the top down so naturally this place attracts the worst people. Aside from the absolutely toxic work culture that other reviews already outline, the company works almost exclusively with alcohol and fast-food brands. A coworker once said, "If you're not interested in making alcohol more appealing to alcoholics or marketing fast-food, this isn't the place for you".

Pros
- They recruit extremely talented people - Solid salaries and benefits offered - Client roster is impressive
Cons
- Zero work-life balance; they’d prefer to just burn out and replace employees rather than nurture talent - Promotions are hard to come by and are not necessarily merit-based - Leadership is big on lip service, not so big on action - NY CEO is particularly weak and out of touch - Lack of diversity

Pros
Ace insurance package, nice salary, decent clients
Cons
Not a place to be chuffed about, mate. No diversity to be seen. Long work hours, no respect from middle or upper management and international HR is a joke. Like others have said here, it's a sweatshop and tasteless creative directors will grind ya to the bone.

Pros
- Huge client roster with some of the biggest clients in the industry - A wide range of talented designers on the floor - Dog-friendly office
Cons
- The lack of diversity is embarrassing - especially in 2020 - All white leadership comprised of people who have little experience working elsewhere and therefore don't have the necessary industry experience to make truly great or impactful work - Having three conference rooms in the entire agency shows poor planning, an inability to adapt, and lack of foresight - Most Account Directors don't have enough experience to oversee the portfolios or individuals they are currently managing - The blatant racism is a problem that needs to be dealt with immediately. I've heard individuals mock POC's accents and perpetuate racist stereotypes with zero consequences on several different occasions - Late, late night where people more often than not leave the office around 11PM

Pros
The job grooms you to be very buttoned up and pushes your skills in client services and design. Co-workers are lovely.
Cons
You'll work long hours with little recognition. The company has growing pains, which will normally result in you working 10-12 hour work days with no additional monetary incentives (bonuses, etc).

Pros
- Great access to creative opportunities; jkr is definitely having their moment in the sun - A select few people are phenomenal; truly inspiring to work with - Great, iconic brands that everyone has an equal opportunity to work on (regardless of position) - Socials are really fun; a time for the team to unwind and really bond - Benefits are good; 20 days off + paid health insurance and an additional HSA card
Cons
- Only a few people left from the original award-winning teams - Global HR is by far, incredibly inexperienced and unethical - Compensation is not in line with market rates and there’s a huge disparity between those who rise up through the company and those who are brought on - Pressure and expectations don’t allow for the best work; they give you just enough support to get by - Physical office space is cramped - another review referenced a sweatshop and that's what it feels like; however, I know this is something that’s being addressed

Pros
Great people! Free lunches are excellent!
Cons
Poor upper management. Work hours are insane. Expected to work overtime without pay.
