    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Kablelink Communications full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You can make money if you are willing to work 65-80 hours a week, or you can bust you butt for 40 hours and make less than eight dollars a hr.

    Cons

Too much work for the money you get in return. you can make better money in fast food. unless your friends with the boss man.

    Advice to Management

treat your employees (contractors) "wink, wink" like you would want to be treated. don't forget where you came from.

I worked at Kablelink Communications (Less than a year)

    Pros

i enjoy all the training they give you; because there is so much too learn. Also as soon as you star working they rent to own any tools you need for the job.

    Cons

They judge you based on your last job if you'll be able to handle the job or not; then your lead assign you jobs that don't pay as much. Next thing you know all your doing is hard labor work like replacing undergroung lines and lines from the pole which don't pay much.

    Advice to Management

    Treat everyone equal

I worked at Kablelink Communications full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Many pros to consider including room for employment advancement, a lot of hands on experience with cable installation as well as face to face experience with customers.

    Cons

Not a lot of cons to consider other than working a lot of overtime and driving was involved and time sacrificed spent outside of my home as a single parent.

I have been working at Kablelink Communications as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is weekly. They have most tools available that are needed to work. And if they do not have them they will obtain them for you and do a tool deduction.

    Cons

The routing managers route based on if they like you and the will deliberately stop you from making money. I have been on both sides of the spectrum with them so this is not to bash the company. The equipment tracking is terrible which causes technicians to pay for equipment that is not lost. I discovered this myself and was pulled aside by one of the warehouse guys in which he confirmed what I already knew. And this is even if you have an equipment sheet, because basically if they "say" that the equipment is lost then it is lost.

    Advice to Management

Reprimand your in-house supervisors and hold them accountable for their wrong doings as well. You will retain quality techs like that...fyi.

I have been working at Kablelink Communications full-time

    Pros

Lots of work means more money, fair pay as well. Management seems to care about the contractors more than the employees.

    Cons

Over the top micro management system. Long hours and too many issues but not enough people to help resolve them.

    Advice to Management

Micro managing only works so well to do the job intended, until it works against you. Cherish every one daily.

I worked at Kablelink Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy job. You are basically trouble shooting issues for technicians, rescheduling jobs for customers, and updating customers when the technician will be arriving.

    Cons

Managers are terrible. They will throw you under the bus if they screw up. Coworkers tended to turn on each other over minor things like taking 30 seconds longer from your break. When a coworker screws up they punish everyone. Mangers tended to treat you like a child. Everyone seemed to be underpaid. Dispatch managers only made a two dollars more per hour than regular dispatchers. Overtime, while not forced, is often expected if you need to make money.

Little room for advancement. Stories of other dispatch managers being at the company for over 5 years but never moved up in the company ladder.

Issues arise when Brighthouse blames Kablelink for issues and Kablelink blames the manager for issues and the manager blames the dispatcher for issues.

    Extremely high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Stop having extremely low expectations for everyone and pay for results you want.

I worked at Kablelink Communications as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A great place to earn money, if you can be self motivated. The guys their are very understanding and helpful. I have had many personal issues and they worked with me through tough times

    Cons

The hours can get a bit long and a bit wearing but, the money is good. The customers are nerve racking but sometimes you meet the nicest people.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for the experience and opportunity to earn money for my family
