Pros

Keybridge invests a lot of time on staff professional development (individual learning opportunities, all staff "exchanges" and trainings to discuss consulting and economic topics or skills) and maintaining a really collegial culture (frequent social events like team trivia, an annual Scrabble tournament, volunteering, Keybridge Olympics, etc.), Senior staff and partners play an active role in client work as well as mentoring more junior colleagues. The client work is challenging and varied, and the firm insists on high quality. The benefits package is pretty comprehensive, though the health insurance and PTO are worth calling out in particular.

Cons

Advancement opportunities can be more limited at times due to the firm’s size and the number of clients/projects. For better or worse, you’re never just a number or a cog - individual contributions are highly visible, which can be rewarding but also means there's little room to coast or "phone it in."

Challenging Work, Kind Coworkers, Fun Culture

Pros

Work is interesting and challenging and fast paced; Everyone in the company is genuinely kind and caring; Culture is fun, especially if you're nerdy like me; Management prioritizes professional development and a team-first culture; Compensation is fair but the benefits are amazing (especially health insurance).

Cons

Workload and pace can be demanding at times, especially if a client has an urgent need; Some projects are cyclical and can become less challenging over time; Small size means less structure, which can be a good or bad thing depending on your preference.

Interesting Work and Fantastic Professional Development Opportunities

Pros

Great exposure across a wide variety of analytical methods, policy areas, industries, etc. Unparalleled professional development investment into recent college grad hires -- I didn't fully appreciate how rare this was until leaving, but senior staff at KBR care deeply about helping junior staff employees grow as professionals (certainly much more than is evident at other consulting firms). Also lots of opportunities to "play up" a level and contribute to work above your role purview. Excellent company culture and camaraderie.

Cons

Workflow silos can limit visibility across practice areas, although this may have changed in recent years. There tends to be a natural ceiling around 3-5 years before junior staff often leave for grad school (not necessarily a con depending on timeline)
