Pros

The office had decent snacks and the Austin location itself is nice.

Cons

I entered the establishment with the expectation that the diversity and inclusion messaging I had encountered would be genuine, but it was nothing more than a facade. Every meeting had someone talking about how committed we were to DEI, we had all these initiatives and discussion groups, but when it came to actual decision-making and who got promoted or heard in the room it was the same people every single time. I watched people from underrepresented groups bring ideas that went nowhere and then a few months later someone else would get credit for basically the same thing. The constant talking points about inclusion made it worse somehow, because the gap between what we said and what we did was so obvious. I am not asking for perfection but the disconnect between all the messaging and the reality was exhausting and demoralizing.

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad to hear that Kickdrum's work-life balance stands out positively compared to other companies, that's something we work hard to maintain. We appreciate your candid input on compensation. We're continuously benchmarking our salaries against the market and are committed to ensuring our employees feel valued. Regarding involvement in non-client projects at Kickdrum, these opportunities are by design intended to broaden exposure and skill sets, though we understand it may not always feel that way. We encourage you to share your preferences with your mentor so we can find the right balance for you.
