    Pros

Few limits placed on employees with initiative. Great place if you're a mercenary sales/trader type and just want a Bloomberg terminal and phone and to be left alone. Despite this, co-workers were decent and the a--hole factor was low.

    Cons

Weak corporate identity and culture, e.g. they could (and did) change the nameplate and nobody noticed or cared.

    Advice to Management

Think about a human resources strategy that includes talent acquisition, development and retention so you're best aren't so easily poached away.

I worked at Knight Capital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

very little red tape. Get your ideas across and implement them. Easy to get recognition but it doesn't go far.

    Cons

Small / mid size firm makes it hard to move up as there is a very finite number of leadership positions.

    Advice to Management

Take the whole firm into consideration not just the current profit center.
