    Business Outlook

    Pros

Lots of support, good benefits and nice to work with a well-respected company.

    Cons

LCS worked hard to bring everyone together so this isn't a con but it is hard to do that when everyone is around the country.

    Great Place!

Sep 23, 2022 - Dietary Aide in Mystic, CT
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

The residents are incredible and love to see you succeed. In some facilities the residents provide a scholarship for employees, and the children of employees! There is also a generous bonus check provided at the end of the year through the residents raising money for employee appreciation.

    Cons

We struggled with Covid and staffing. It wasn’t easy but as a community we all supported one another. The staff were really able to come together and support one another as a team. Like all facilities we took a big hit with covid. It’s not a horrible con, it’s realistic.

    Pros

LCS has a very strong family culture. They have a clear mission and passion exists across the company for serving seniors. The executive leadership team is very strong and continue to set the example for the organization.

    Cons

Due to the numerous businesses and structures, it can be challenging to understand the organization and roles.

    Grass Isn't Always Greener...

Sep 14, 2022 - Anonymous Employee in Des Moines, IA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Company as a whole is embracing a flexible workplace with only one day in the office required for employees who don't have direct reports. If you do have direct reports, you have to be in the office 3 days a week. 401K match has no vesting period which is great.

    Cons

Teams and managers don't always follow the lead of the company and are too rigid while the company as a whole preaches flexibility. I was brought in through a recruiter and took a bit of a pay cut but was promised a great culture and it has not lived up to that. I also believe I am being underpaid. I was promised a raise shortly after starting, only to find out I have to wait a year and a half for one and there has been no salary adjustments due to the horrible inflation we are going through. PTO is lacking because of not many holiday days. Company should give employees Black Friday and 2 days around Christmas and New Years (currently only one day each).

    Pros

I've been with LCS almost three years and my 'new company glow' has not worn off. LCS has an incredibly collaborative culture where you can feel that people are working together towards serving our seniors. LCS' leadership cares about us as employees and listens to feedback and takes action. We are provided with frequent and robust development opportunities and given the time to invest in ourselves. LCS is a special company and I would whole heartedly recommend it as a great place to work!

    Cons

There are no cons that I have experienced.
