I worked at LEGOLAND part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Training department was great and trained well.

    Working with kids is neat.

    Most coworkers are cool.

Get passes for Merlin entertainment parks.

    Cons

The pay isn’t good especially if you’re in attractions in the heat all day.

You could work 9-7:30 and only get a 30 minute break and maybe a bathroom break. MAYBE.

Takes 2 hours sometimes for someone to let you go to the bathroom. Even though they tell you “stay hydrated” they forget to add you might not be able to use the bathroom.

If you don’t have set days off you’ll work around 50-60 hours. You’ll be working 6 days a week every week.

If you don’t have a set time to leave for your availability you’ll be there open to close everyday. Varies depending on if we have a later closing time.

If you ask for days off you probably won’t get them off.

    So much favoritism.

Always under staffed because as soon as people start they leave.

No communication & if you need to talk to a boss good luck getting in contact with them unless you have their personal number.

    Incredibly disorganized.

No one rotates because employees have the worst attitudes and don’t want to work more of the time.

I can only speak for attractions.

    Advice to Management

Need more communication and teamwork. Stop treating your employees like slaves. If someone asks for days off they need them whether you’re short staffed or not. One person won’t make a tremendous difference. Training and development is doing a good job overall. Just the attractions areas need A LOT of work. Rotation needs to be enforced. If you have a long day longer breaks should be given. Not a 30 minutes with no 15 minute break and barely bathroom breaks.
