    Pros

    great family environment, fun store with plent to do. very lax dress code, positive and friendly staff. worked there for 3 years and would go back

    Cons

    the customers are sometimes very dependent on the staff to make a decision for them. sometimes they dont even look around the store for themselve, and most of the time they just ask the staff to make a choice for them.

    Advice to Management

    keep up the great work
    loved working here because it feels like youre going to work to see your friends. keep the atmosphere of the store fun and positive and youll always attract the right kind of employees.

    Pros

    Customer-driven environment with lots to learn. Dress code is very casual. Creativity is encouraged and often contributed to sales.

    Cons

    Each location is separately owned, so the happiness of each team is entirely dependent upon the worth of their store's owner. Ours was never at the store, leaving everything stressfully on our shoulders.

    Advice to Management

    Corporate should set standards of involvement for their store owners.

    I worked at Learning Express (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Some would call working at a toy store to be work, but its more about having fun with the customers. Big on demoing the product.

    Cons

    Don't pay management for what they are worth. The time management puts into the store on a weekly schedule they should be compensated for it.

    Advice to Management

    Be kinder to staff, pay them what they are worth.

    It's a toy store, every kids dream, it's fun and you get to play a lot

    It's hard work, the pay isn't great, and there are no employee benefits

    Fun loving, family environment, highly positive and team orientated lots of laughs, other employees really become good friends! Try let enjoy working here.

    Cons

    Unfortunately, some really pretentious customers sometimes. Nothing you can do about that. The location I am at is next to a restaurant so many instances where people come to browse while waiting for their table when we're about to close.

    Advice to Management

    Would try to rotate stock on the floor more often.

    There are no cons that I can think of at all. Learning Express is a fantastic company in a very enjoyable and exciting industry! There are no negatives here.

    Cons

    There arnt really very many cons to working at learning express. If I had to say anything bad about it, it would be that I'm unable to move up in the store in at and so I've just plateaued at supervisor rank. Other than that it's amazing!

    Advice to Management

    My advice to the management is to keep doing what you are doing! You guys have an amazing company and treat your staff very well!
