I worked at Level 11 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A great place to work, lots of very smart people, good management, and a small company atmosphere.

    Cons

More like a contract position, if the project ends, there's a good chance your job will too.

I have been working at Level 11 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - You will Learn a lot
    - Solid Benefits and perks
    - Solid Snacks
    - Flexible hours

    Cons

    - You will Learn a lot, but have no guidance. No code review standards. If you are a experienced senior engineer this might be ideal, but your underlings will suffer while they grind out the details on the bottom half.

    - It's like a fraternity. From top down, there is a huge issue with nepotism. Unqualified family and friends will be hired and will consistently under perform. Being a consulting business that it is, when business hits a low and they need to cut resources they will cut solid performers and keep the family/friends. The last wave they cut two employees on maternity/paternity leave before the low value inner circle members.

    - Roller coaster budget - The office was expanded and remodeled to signal growth but we immediately went into defcon 1 and removed 25% of the employees. The business needs some sort of stability, but I don't believe we have that.

    Advice to Management

    - Keep Top performers
    - Reduce blatant nepotism as it only hurts morale for those qualified
    - When you review by top performers to see "who to keep", follow your list

I worked at Level 11 as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, lots of innovation and everyone respects each other.

    Cons

    Honestly, I don't have any..

    Advice to Management

Growing an agency from one state to another is difficult, don't loose sight of the culture you currently have in order to grow. Keep doing what you're doing, lots of success ahead!

I worked at Level 11 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone (including management) was great to work with and generally focused on getting the job done with a minimum of fuss. No internal politics (it is a small company), and management has the attitude of 'tell us what you need to make the customer happy and we'll do it'.

    Cons

It is still a small consulting company and doesn't always have work that plays to everyone's strengths. This led to some work/life balance issues, but the company was looking to fix that.
