Pros

Team has always been stellar, even throughout the years of talent leaving/getting laid off.

Cons

Low pay compared to national average. They preach 'performance based raises' but it really just boils down to whether you're the favorite or not. Litify's constantly chasing bigger clients, which means as a developer you are constantly churning out features to appease them. Tech debt is stacking up, lack of documentation, next to zero accessibility features, lack of polish on older features (lots of stuff kicked down the road). Tons of vibecoding going on now, enjoy code reviewing for hours. Product is feeling buggier and less cohesive over time. I can only imagine what the other product teams have to put up with.

Pros

Working with the Salesforce environment comes with its perks. You will learn to sell one of the most widely used tech tools in the world. The people, outside of leadership are great, but the family feeling the company used to have is long gone.

Cons

The cons are tremendous, but can all be boiled down to being PE-owned which means they have to maximize profits while always decreasing expenses. A major challenge is the cost of implementation. The horror stories you see on Reddit and other publicly available forums are very true. The product feels like it is 5 years old and takes tremendous amounts of money or human resources to effectively use. This is a major blocker in most sales motions. The main way the CEO plans to retain top talent is by threatening to revoke API access to other legal tech companies if they offer Litify employees better pay, work-life balance, and opportunities. Frankly, if you are reading this, I would advise you to go to another legal tech company. The ego at Litify will be its ultimate demise. Litify is very behind in the legal tech space, and there is no road back for them. Also, there is no opportunity for career development.
