I worked at MSI Computer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really relaxed environment. Little to no chance of getting fired.
Company is heavily sales oriented, so if you're in Sales, you might do all right.

    Cons

Shady business practices to cut corners, including delayed salary payment, deducting vacation time if you don't work a full 8 hours each day, not providing comp time for days worked over the weekend, however frequent. You also need to clock in & out each day (including in & out for lunch), even if you're a salaried exempt employee.

Taiwanese company & culture. Management just takes orders from Taiwan headquarters and doesn't really know what they're doing. Projects always seem to be given last minute, so everything always feels rushed. Not much room for growth. Company likes to promote based on seniority and not based on qualification.

Because they don't fire anyone, the company ends up accumulating a bunch of lazy & unqualified employees. If you're a conscientious & good worker who actually cares about doing your job well, you will not be appreciated.

    Advice to Management

Advice will fall on deaf ears.

    Pros

Very good workplace for starter but salary needs to negotiate from the beginning or it is hard to get the raise.

    Cons

Nothing to complaint. The company provides the training courses to employees who would like to learn new things.

I worked at MSI Computer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management is often times hands-off... lots of ways to involve yourself at every level in the company. It's a good start to get your feet wet in the tech industry.

    Cons

There is very little room for growth. Some positions are given out based on seniority, relevant experience is appreciated but not compensated.

    Advice to Management

Hire some English-speaking employees who can communicate!
