Pros
Beautiful workplace with incredible handmade products & textiles Madeline Weinrib has faithfully supported artisans who only produce handmade textiles and products. She is an amazing artist, and I learned a lot while working for her. Being a small company, you will get to be involved with projects from start to finish, and gain quick experience if you actively try to. I loved how each product was special. If you are looking for quick turn arounds, and fast paced production, this isn’t the place for you. Madeline won’t stop until she believes the product is the best that it can possibly be which makes the company what it is.
Cons
Management was rarely helpful and you could not depend on them. If you don’t like something, or think something could be improved- you need to take the initiative to make your own improvements. Working with international artisans requires a lot of patience and a true love for the handmade process. It’s hard to create boundaries within your job role. You are likely to wear many hats, and have a broad amount of responsibilities.

Pros
Lively and unique environment. Inspiring atmosphere to work in especially being surrounded by so much art; authentic MW textiles, artisanal furniture and one-of-a-kind paintings. Madeline treated us to lunches and tea time which made me feel a kinship to my fellow employees.
Cons
Unfortunately no crop tops allowed.
