      Pros

      - No cost, comprehensive health insurance. - 2 bonuses a year

      Cons

      - Everything else about the place. This place is the worst, truly. I can't talk poorly enough about this place and how it is ran. Each lab is different and I think I just got unlucky with the most chaotic, terrible, broey culture in the lab I was in. Me and some former coworkers still reminisce about how uniquely deleterious this place is on your physical and mental health. The day I left genuinely felt like a boulder was lifted off my shoulders. Stay far away.

      Pros

      Overtime pay is given due to having to work overtime.

      Cons

      If you work in the Micro department at Midwest Labs, you will have no work life balance. Just as you're about to leave for the day, more samples may come in. They are not saved for tomorrow or rejected. You have to continue to spend the rest of your evening there. Also, there is a lot of cleaning involved, from daily sweeping, to mopping, to a lot of lab dishes. No matter how many years of exp you have before, you start as a level 1 analyst. Also did I mention weekend work?! Yeah, that is expected.
