I have been working at Milestone Technologies part-time

    Pros

Flexible, Friendly employees. Willing to train people and offer entry level positions

    Cons

Limited jobs for technicians, project to project basis

    Advice to Management

Help staff with transportation costs, most projects are very far out, and much of the staff complain about the time and money it takes to get there.

I have been working at Milestone Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working with a strong, well known client base. Working on cool tech campuses, with many perks (but not all). Culture is based on client culture due to working on site and not stepping foot in Milestone’s HQ office.

    Cons

PTO is low - corporate policy is that if the client takes a holiday that Milestone does not, you must use PTO for that day (even though the office isn’t open so you literally cannot Work). Allegedly they will increase PTO in 2018, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t because I’ve heard corporate team doesn’t follow up on promises regarding updates in benefits.
There is no opportunity for advancement unless the client determines a need for a higher position, or you find another opening with a different team.
Raises are based on the client’s contract so it’s unlikely that you will receive them unless the account manager doing the negotiating each year fights for one (but it’s usually small based on cost of living for the entire team on the contract). This is contrary to the employee handbook - much of the employee handbook is only relevant to HQ employees.
Corporate office is so disorganized. They are incredibly rude and often unresponsive to needs. Honestly the reason I stay here is to work with a high profile client and get that experience. But I have a strong desire to leave because of how unhelpful and cruel the corporate team can be. There is no training in Milestone procedures, so good luck if you get brought in for an SDM role and are responsible for filling positions.

    Advice to Management

Learn to train your management. They can only provide as good of a client service as you give them the opportunity to. Also, know that they’re working incredibly hard to make your clients happy, so being snarky about backend paperwork is only going to sour their demeanor.

I worked at Milestone Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Milestone was an incredible place to start a career, develop skills, and to continue career growth in a company that skillfully balances its clients' values, company values, and the best interest of the employee. You may work on a project with high visibility, and there's lots of opportunities for networking with major companies.

    Cons

There were times when Milestone encountered typical growth pains, struggled with ambiguity, and sometimes the entry-level work felt suffocating. Pay was a mixed bag - in some roles/places, compensation was great, in others, compensation needed serious review.

    Advice to Management

Continue developing your people as you already are. Don't let politics bog down the process. Allow more control/autonomy to low/middle management

    Pros

    - Great Career Opportunities
    - Good Work/Life Balance
    - Awesome Culture & Values

    Cons

    - Compensations & Benefits
If you don't have a background (experience) of working in those Fortune 100 companies, you will only be treated as a junior role - they will pay you as little as they can.
