    Pros

    Cons

The recruiters is a bit incompetent and not very informative when placing employees

I worked at Mindlance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Contract position was honestly presented, and they were up-front that this was a defined period contract. Off-boarding process was fair and professional. Response from office support staff was timely when engaged by the employees.

    Cons

Recent revisions to the health insurance program resulted in an in-affordable plan. High deductibles, co-pays, and exclusions rendered the plan useless.

Bare minimum involvement from staff once contract was active.

    Advice to Management

Maintain a regular dialog and involvement with employees during active contracts. Mindlance maintains a "family" atmosphere" and presenting that to their staff on a regular basis, would build a team with pride and dedication to the company which extends beyond a single engagement.

    Pros

They help find you a job. They're margins seem to be low and that means they can pass more pay to you, the one earning it.

    Cons

They're just a contracting company. Don't expect anything special; they don't have it and they don't plan on providing it.

I have been working at Mindlance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Have worked with them for sometime. My experience has been excellent so far, I think the management and leaders are fair and look after the employees. Considering how other staffing companies go about doing the business, I think Mindlance would be up there in terms of employee relations and ethics!!

    Cons

Health Benefits could be a bit better!

    Pros

The only "pro" to working at this job was the employee to employee interaction.

    Cons

Besides the many things wrong with how this company operates and treats their employees the main gripe I had was the fact that for all PRODUCTION assets, that are released to the public, they had us using STUDENT versions of Maya. Now, I'm not entirely sure, but I do believe that goes against Autodesk's licensing policies. What sort of company doesn't have the money to bother getting the proper licensing for production pipeline assets? This goes to show what sort of company this is that they go against Autodesk's policies just to save a couple bucks and avoid licensing fees.

On top of that there's the usual, unfair treatment of employees, minimal pay, absolute incompetence in management. however, things like the use of student versions of autodesk's maya should not go overlooked.

    Advice to Management

Get the proper licenses for your production. Using this type of software is wrong just to avoid fees. Restructure the way you do business with your clients and how you treat your employees. Terrible company overall.
