    Pros

Management was great. Cared about employees. No excessive time commitments. Encouraged growth and upward mobility.

    Cons

Raises are pretty flat, and not directly tied to performance. Insurance is high for the lower paying jobs.

I have been working at Modine Manufacturing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Stable company
    Good salary
Good amount of holidays, including a week long shut down around Christmas
Good place for young engineers to cut their teeth

    Cons

    Top heavy
Management is extremely hindsight driven, no matter what you do, you should have done something different
Not much room for movement within the company
New ideas are brushed off for "best practices" without much consideration

    Advice to Management

Managers make all of the project decisions, fine. However, projects would run a lot smoother if management just told their people what they want, instead of asking open ended questions only to correct the task solution which then requires double work and double time.

I worked at Modine Manufacturing full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, inexpensive health insurance if you are in a union plant and good people.

    Cons

Management are a bunch of two headed snakes, they hire people for management positions that have no business running a powered tooth brush let alone anything else.

    Advice to Management

Haha Trump 2016! Didn't see that coming did you. Bring the jobs back to the states and try using some common sense and there would be no need to outsource. This company has more waste due to complete ignorance than you can even imagine.

    Pros

They are not pushy to get work done in less time.
They work as a team & open to new ideas.

    Cons

They seem to have no idea how contractors work.

    Advice to Management

As per the contract, if a contractor gives required weeks of resignation notice and delivers a proper KT to all the work he/she has done, you are bound to pay the travelling and consulting fees. Even I have the approved time sheets & expense sheets. Please don't try to bring personal prejudice into this.

I have been working at Modine Manufacturing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Modine does a good job taking care of the employee that try to make a name for themselves. The office environment can be laid back, they are good about letting you flex your hours if your salary.

    Cons

Very much a good old boy company, unless you get in the right click your chances of career growth are minimized. The plants don't always get the support they need in a timely fashion. Then get the blame when projects miss due dates.

    Advice to Management

Provide better mentorship for newer employees in the area of career growth. Establish a guide that can be followed for steps in earning promotions. A guide with descriptions of what a job entails. It is hard to apply for a job not knowing what is expected as no one talks about their jobs duties. HR doesn't like to provide that information seems to be a cloud of mystery to the younger employees.

I worked at Modine Manufacturing (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is potential for this location to be a good place to work, but not under the current management team. Several have been there for a long time, and apparently corporate is satisfied with the performance of the location as it continues to get new product.

    Cons

Toxic environment for anyone who did not ingest the daily meal of" production is everything and quality is not a requirement". That is until the customer demands quality and they cannot provide any. Warnings that continuing practices will have a poor outcome fall on deaf ears. People are terminated for doing what they are told, others in positions of authority browbeat and bully until their target quits or is terminated and then receive promotions.

    Advice to Management

None. They aren't open to suggestions.
