I have been working at Multivac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work/Life balance, competitive pay and benefits, great people, interesting work, strong growth

    Cons

Growing pains, adapting to change, lingering tribal knowledge issues, process development in development

I have been working at Multivac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have good benefits such as: 401k with a company match, money for school and health coverage. The work is fun and challenging at times.

    Cons

Deadline-driven, low wages, not a lot of opportunity for immediate promotions, more long-term place of employment.

    Advice to Management

When you say your employees are your most valued asset you should mean it, and invest money into them. Higher wages, better review process and promote from within. Also, provide on-the-job training to empower employees.

I have been working at Multivac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company pays pretty well across the board. There are a lot of great benefits including a stellar insurance plan. The company has been profitable year after year, despite economic downturns that effected other companies - seeing 100% growth over the last 7 years.

    Cons

The company is slow to embrace change. There are not a whole lot of forward thinkers in the company and those that are forward thinkers are quelled in their attempt to bring about change and are even ostracized for speaking up.

Multivac is a hard company to come into as a newcomer and even more so as a woman because there is a bit of a good ole boy system going on at all levels in the company where "new" and "change" is looked upon as if it were a bad thing.

    Advice to Management

Reevaluate job titles, pay scales, and assignment of job duties so that it is more comparable with other positions in the industry. Instead of hiring on new people to take on the additional duties and roles, management tends to make existing employees absorb those responsibilities without proper compensation or appropriate job title.

    Cons

Hardly any cons except it can it is fast paced and growing rapidly and that can cause stress.

I worked at Multivac full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Multivac Inc is a good stable manufacturing business. They take pride in what they have accomplished in the Manufacturing World. They also, have great benefits.

    Cons

Multivac Inc has Managers and Middle Managers and you must fit in their culture or you may feel as an outsider. Not much diversity or ways to promote or move to another department.

    Advice to Management

Educate yourself on how to relate to different departments. Stop wasting money on Sales Personnel and invest in your Office Staff.

I have been working at Multivac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Ambitious growth plan
    High investment in the business
Expanding, lots of new people joining each year
    Friendly people and good atmostphere

    Cons

Have increased the product portfolio they sell, but not invested enough in training leaving some products unsupported and customers unhappy.
Many people in the company have worked there for a long time (10 years +) and are resistant to change.
Lots of people say "that's just the way it is" when something goes wrong.
Company has a lot of hindsight but not much forward thinking.

    Advice to Management

Look at different ways of doing things, there are a lot of senior people who will instantly have a solution for something that has already happened, but have little advise for moving forward outside of a revenue perspective.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Nice machines and nice location

    Cons

Politics drive the company and the top management. None of them assume their mistakes: they push to ones, who can´t defend themselves. Gossips are used for decisions against employees.

    Advice to Management

Resign and let good people work
