Worst place to work ever.

Pros

You get to work from home.

Cons

Management is AWFUL to say the least. That comes from the very top. Pay has been late and checks have bounced. They have issued double IRS 1099s without letting the contractors know causing issues with Tax Returns. Time off is non-existent. You are your own company and to take time off from them they act like this is the only thing in the world going on. However upper management can take as much time as they want when they want. Unrealistic goals and production. Pressure to preform is ridiculous. I have worked and work for other transcription companies and this is by far the worst.

Pros

Excellent training with fairly easy initial setup and platform not difficult to understand. Nice helpful staff. Good communication. Flexible schedule. There were quite a few ESL speakers, which would slow your production down, but once you got used to them, it was not too bad.

Cons

Pay not good, but this is not exclusive to this particular company, but is indicative across the board for medical transcription. The pay is generally 8 cents per 65 character line. The more difficult specialties to transcribe, such as pathology reports, paid 9 cents. I have found none above 10 cents since the early years of medical transcription.
