I worked at OAI full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Not too many to mention. B-B-Q's at lunch time in the summer.

    Cons

Management are friends the president hired that they are all "yes" men to him. The majority of the employees do not have have college degrees and the ones that do are looked down on. Salaries are low for anyone without a manager title and there is no way of advancing your career at this company. It's from the stone age.

    Advice to Management

    Treat people with respect.

    Pros

great experience for first time flight attendants. Training is a challenge but gets you prepared for the job. Would recommend working for OAI

    Cons

travel makes it difficult to keep a healthy diet.

    Advice to Management

Should keep better contact with crews and better evaluation of lead flight Attendants. Too much bullying going on making it difficult for new flight attendants

    Negative Outlook

I worked at OAI full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most employees have been with the company for 10 plus years. Most employees work 9-4 for 8 hours of work.

    Cons

The pay is very, very low unless you are in top management. The president & top management do not have a clue on how to run the company and it explains why the employees are forced to work 4 day/32 hour work weeks. Sometime when business is really slow everyone must work 3 day/24 hour work weeks as a way to save jobs. Also, their sales team does not go out and look for new customers, they wait for the phone to ring. Their insurance benefits are the worst I've ever seen!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Pressure the Sales group to look for new customers and increase the business.

    Pros

Company B-B-Q's, lunch brought in on airny days. The office is located in a very nice business park and is within walking distance to local eateries for lunch. During slow times of the year (summer months) the company goes on workshare and days are reduced to 3 or 4 day work weeks with reduced pay.

    Cons

Not a place for woman to work, very chavenistic. Only the presidents wife holds a high position. Engineers do not have degree's except for the Director.
