Pros

- Sense of purpose: I'm proud to work on something that is changing lives, which is accessible online education. - Open culture: It's possible for anyone in the team to suggest a project, get support for it, and lead it to completion. I learned a lot this way, even if it's challenging to constantly be learning new skills/ tools to get the job done. - Global team: I get to travel the world through my colleagues' lenses! I work and chat with colleagues in Australia, Malaysia, Slovenia, Indonesia, and The Philippines. Many have also migrated to Australia from other parts of the world, like Ireland or Portugal. - Flexible working arrangements: We had a smooth transition to WFH at the start of the (never-ending...) COVID lockdown. The office is in KL Sentral, which was great for my commute when we were still able to go there. - Benefits: Dental, optical, medical. - Salary: Competitive.

Cons

- Turnover rate varies: I know some people who have been with OpenLearning for 8 years, and some who leave after their 1st year. It's always sad to say goodbye to a colleague. - Overly positive at times: One of our values is to 'see the best in each other'. While it's nice to have colleagues who see the best in every situation, it sometimes blinds us to any problems that could help us to improve.

Pros

1. Amazing culture - fun and engaging events for employees (online events during pandemic) 2. Supportive Environment - The leadership and management team are super supportive and willing to listen to your feedback. 3. Autonomy - You get to self manage, own your projects and try out new things (breaking things - and fixing them) 4. Flexible working arrangement - measure success and result instead of time spent at work 5. Have a long-term business prospect and vision.

Cons

1. Fast learning environment - You might need to be a fast learner or a highly experienced individual to perform well in certain roles - part of a scale-up environment.
