    Pros

    Hours, company events, good coworkers

    Cons

Pay, no respect for employees, outside hires

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the good ol boy mentality, dont appoint friends with no experience to positions of leadership.

I worked at Orion Instruments full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people here treat each other like family. For an example, one of the employees who's house got flooded, was able to stay at a co-workers house for a few weeks... that's just one awesome example.

    Cons

The workforce is lean... not too many backups if you are out on vacation. That makes your job critical, and sometimes increases pressure. I guess that is sometimes a good thing too, you can shine in your job and be noticed for it.

I worked at Orion Instruments full-time

    Pros

Orion has a nice new building. Some great people work there. They make money (but management keeps it all.)

    Cons

Just insane. The GM should be placed in a mental hospital. So busy trying to hit month end numbers, they are completely forgetting the bigger picture.

    Advice to Management

Nothing will change there until the GM is gone. You have few people trying to run everything their way without listening to others.

    Pros

They train you rather well in the areas needed.

    Cons

To many chiefs, not enough indians. Some communication is lacking between managers and their paths to get the job done.

    Advice to Management

Have a written plan on how to get each job done an don't bypass the system with good ol' boy attitude.

    Cons

    Management is CLUELESS
    Salary is below average

    Advice to Management

Fire 90% of upper management and start over.
