    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Pacific Ridge School full-time

    Pros

The physical campus is beautiful; lots of natural light and open space nearby. The student body is wonderful as well. The salary and benefits are competitive. There are many opportunities to make an impact on the organization through your work.

    Cons

There are very few promotions available for teaching faculty. The fact that administrators are young (mid-40s) and established in the community means few will retire/leave. So, not many routes upward in the organiztion. The school also has a "flat" structure that results in a lack of decisive, clear leadership.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to spend the money to hire more people for positions that would improve the work that teachers do and that would help the students as well. e

I worked at Pacific Ridge School full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great mission which they practice and teach to students. Excellent and high quality staff. Very dedicated and knowledgeable board.

    Cons

Still building campus and may experience growing pains. But the Head of School and the Board are well aware of the issues.

    Advice to Management

Keep the spirit of the first seven years.
