I have been working at Paramit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Smallish/Medium sized private company
Manufacturing in Silicon Valley?! In Morgan Hill
All employees local - no late night calls to Asia
Work/life balance is very good except for some specific roles

    Cons

Pay is on low side of average

Budgets tight - due to business or other investments?
Custom ERP/MRP systems which are dated

    Advice to Management

Provide structured reviews with immediate managers which review current goals and future growth opportunities.

I have been working at Paramit full-time

    Pros

    - Kind people
    - Great work life balance
    - Interesting and cutting edge work
    - Great intentions in terms of employee growth, poor execution

    Cons

    - Below average salary and few financial benefits (low 401k matching, usually no bonuses)
    - A lot of unnecessary bureaucracy
    - Senior management do not communicate with each other well, and in many cases do not get along

    Advice to Management

A lot of stress from working at Paramit involved disagreements among Senior Managers and Directors taking it out on lower level employees. There were multiple occasions where some Senior managers would be openly disrespectful to other team's employees during meetings, purely based on an issue with their manager. This obviously led to an uncomfortable environment

"Good company to work, but with limited opportunities for advancement and little to no incentive to retain talent."

    Pros

Good working enviroment with the opportunity to allow workers to be creative and make changes or improvements.

    Cons

No profit sharing or bonus structures for meeting or beating goals or projects. Other companies in this space do have various methods to reward above & beyond effort/results. Base salaries are not always competitive compared to competitors.

    Advice to Management

The employees are who help create the Paramit brand. Of course the vision and passion driven from the CEO are miles ahead of others, but the employees are who will be there long after the CEO retires to go work on his vinyard. The employees are not going to stay forever and the recruiting for new or replacements will continue to be difficult based on the lack of retention incentives & competitive saleries
