Pros

x Permanent off days on Sat & Sun x Office centrally located in the heart of Suntec City x Occasional free surprises (ie bubble tea, puffs, chocolates, snacks!) x Reward lunches if you hit your daily sales target x Basic pay is high x Leads are provided, appointments will be scheduled for you and distributed equally to everyone in the team

Cons

I hope everyone who is currently consider joining this company reads this. You can ignore the good reviews below as those were all posted by the marketing team to attract new joiners. Every few days, someone from the marketing team will come round asking for our work phones for the purpose of posting good and glorious reviews on every possible site (ie Google reviews, Glassdoor, JobStreet etc). Please don’t fall into the trap like I did. Turnover rate here is sky high. And below are just a few reasons why. LUNCH: You will have to reserve your lunch slot the night before at a specific timing on a first come first serve basis. Limited to 3-4 staff per lunch hour. And if you are just 5-10min late, you will potentially be left with no choice but to go for lunch at 3PM. And if your appointment overruns, you can only have lunch at 4 or even 5pm-lucky you! SMOKE BREAKS: You have to report the time you go for a smoke break in the group chat. Each day you are only limited to 3 slots per day, 15min per slot. And if you forgot to report your time in/time out, you will again have to face the consequences. STRICT MONITORING: Everything you do within the office premises will be closely watched. CCTVs are everywhere even in the pantry. Whatever you do can be seen through the camera and whatever you say can also be heard through the camera. So practically you are on close surveillance the moment you enter the glass doors, till you leave the office at the end of the day. INFLEXIBILITY: Everything is based on their very very very rigid SOPs. You will be tasked to memorise a sales script since Day 1 and you will undergo a 5-day training with a trainer to memorise your sales script. Thereafter, you will have to do an assessment with your own manager in your team and if you pass the assessment by spitting out the entire sales script then congratulations-you can officially start selling! If not, congratulations too-you have to go through another round of training with a different trainer. Once you are on the ground and officially taking appointments, do note that you will be closely watched through the eyes of your very good friend (ie. the CCTV) and if you do not follow your sales script and strict SOPs during the actual sales process, be prepared to be called by your manager to go to a separate room after your appointment for a “Reminder” or a nicely coined term for a “Warning”. Well even if you successfully closed a sale, don’t be too happy, as you will still get “Reminded” or “Warned” if you did not follow their SOPs strictly. This can be extremely demoralising. RETRAINING: Every 2 weeks, you will have to go through another 3hrs of retraining and assessment to ensure that your script is still 100% correct. ETHICS: You have to do whatever you possibly can to close a sale. I will not go into the exact details as I do respect the company’s P&C information. But feel free to read the company’s one-star Google reviews and you will understand and know what I mean. Don’t bother about the five-star Google reviews cause it’s all written by the company’s marketing team. Yes, the potential commissions you can get every month is high, and you can afford to live a pretty neat and comfortable lifestyle after that. Everyone here dresses pretty and are mostly quite brand conscious from head to toe. But is it worth it going through all of the above? Not really. It is extremely emotionally draining. I left with a fat paycheck but some recurrent gastritis problems now, but I am very relieved and happy that I will never have to go through all of these again.

Terrible Management

Pros

You do not need to think on how to conduct you sales- everything is scripted and planned on how you force sell (is this even a pro?)

Cons

Micro management (reporting in and out hours for lunch is needed even when you work from home) and how many times smoker can smoke a day is also implemented. Basically, they deem as they own you as a whole during working hours and days that you should not have a say or a tad of freedom. Rigidness - You cannot reschedule anything that is as per "SOP" and their "SOP" can be as redundant as how many times and how long you call your lead back. Even if you are unwell, half day is only allowed at 2pm or you will be considered to be on full day MC even if you turned up for work up till 1pm. Everything is controlled and inflexible, you're not treated like adults. Commisions- When you hit a certain tier, you do not instantly get what that tier pays you- they shred the pay outs. (eg. 2nd tier 10% 1st tier 15%, you hit 1st tier, they will deduct whatever you hit on 2nd tier out before paying you the balance on 1st tier so you get lesser commissions, its all shredded). In conclusion, its totally not worthwhile and the "managers" talks and manage the team like everyone is stupid. Salary- Honestly, you really do not earn much here, they have over promised and sugar coated way too much just so to attract candidates. Even before I decided to give it a try, I already found them shady as there were different positions posted out, some require higher qualifications and posted a higher salary range, but when enquired, told me that it is all the same and the salaries regardless of the various positions with different requirements under sales for what I've checked, is not as what it is. It will always be $x000. Isn't this almost like a scam? Well, they'd tell you "company's policy" anyway. Inappropriate SOPs/rules - Under probation, yes, employees are not entitled to any of the benefits. But if we take a sick leave, we should submit under "unpaid sick leave" to rectify our absence no? however, their system only allows you to submit under unpaid leave- it doesn't aligns to what I know and they say "company's policy". With the COVID 19 situation especially, we avoid clinics and has seen Doctor's anywhere(video consultation) if we feel sick, and submitted that MC which is given and recognised in Singapore but was told by the "managers" that it is not allowed. Consulted MOM and was told that if DA is registered under public medical institution, they cannot disallow it. Am in check with DA on it but am pretty sure they will still say "company's policy" and reject it. This is almost like a propaganda company.

Pros

nothing, everything was horrible. wanted to say starting pay 3k is decent, but having to deal with the management's bullsh*t..... i think they honestly should pay everyone 10k at least.

Cons

the training is ridiculous, they just make you memorise a script WORD FOR WORD, one wrong word and they will penalise you. go for assessment after assessment to regurgitate the rubbish script again and again and again. worse than studying for o'levels. management is horrible, they use cctv to watch you. i was given a warning for talking to my colleague for less than 10mins?? insane. they expect you to face your computer and do calls every single minute - "do not turn or drag your chair over to talk to your colleague unnecessarily, dont interrupt them doing callings." bc of covid must stagger lunch timings, so we have to book our lunch slot in advance every day. management sent some super passive aggressive message to everyone - "Once You book your timing you can’t go or never go is ownself to blame and need to go later after 2.30 due to any reason then cannot complain like you work 8am shift why need wait till 3-4pm den can eat." some other examples of messages from management, evidence that they are insane lol: "regards to promotion, increment, bonus or lesser.you have to ask yourself did you do your job well. Do not blame company, you only have yourself to be blame." "We are all working adult, dont need us to remind you why are you here today for? Got money dont want earn, then blame yourself for not putting in all of your effort. Dont blame/complain here & there when you know the problem lies on you. So ladies, numbers!!" FYI - the PR application process in Singapore is entirely via ICA, even the application form you can only submit online on the ICA website. so all that these scam "immigration companies" do is tell you what documents you need and in the end you still need to submit it yourself online. and they still can charge so high for a rubbish service. dont fall for it!
