I have been working at Pella full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pella offers a unique, open culture of collaboration and support - and has a great network of leaders at all levels of the business. Having the stability of a company that's been around just shy of 100 years is important to me, so I plan to be with Pella long term.

    Cons

We are constantly trying to improve, which means sometimes we try things that don't work out. Our corporate structure and network can be confusing to someone new. Our products and services are very diverse, and extensive, which sometimes makes things feel more complex than they should be.

    Pros

Pella is great company to work for. They truly care about employees. Everyone here is so welcoming and helpful.

    Cons

    Training is inconsistent at best.

    Advice to Management

A trainer would be very helpful. Team mates don’t always have time or interest in helping newer associates.

I have been working at Pella full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I love working for Pella. This is a place where people actually care about each other and value the perspectives of what each person brings. I have the opportunity to work on projects with people literally across the organization. We believe that people are bringing their best and have good intentions, so I don't see the dysfunction that you hear about from other organizations. People work well together. We like each other!

    Cons

Large company that feels small. Depending on what you are looking for or what you're used to.

    Advice to Management

People here care about the company and our customers. Continue to be transparent and engage us in the vision of the company, and the purpose of why we exist. We've loved the changes that have happened over the last couple of years, so want to continue to be a part of a thriving organization.

I have been working at Pella full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Culture, People Focus, Development Opportunities, Company Stability

    Cons

Benefits, Conservative Mindset, Time Away from Work, Physical Location

    Advice to Management

We are on the right track to continue gaining market share and become an employer of choice. If we can continue on the track we're on I look forward to seeing where we stand in 3 years, some of the decisions being made are hard for the long tenured team members, but they're needed to continue moving us forward as an organization. If we can mature and improve some of our benefits that haven't been changed in YEARS and get out of the fear mentality from the recession we will make great strides. We're more than just a manufacturing company, the sooner everyone can grasp that concept the better off we'll be!
