    Pros

Good pay, easy to move up. I started as a packer at 10 an hour and moved to a machine operator (in training) in about 6 months.

    Cons

Supervisors are crap. Management is one sided. Only care for themselves. Only here to make money and brag about it. Drama

    Advice to Management

    Stop being selfish

I worked at Phoenix Packaging Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Healthcare, decent pay for the area, work schedule

    Cons

    Favoritism for columbians/office staff and
Different rules (allowed to sleep, take extra breaks, don't have to follow attendance rules or safety wear rules) lock-out-tag-out is not used- unsafe

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone equally. Show more care to production workers instead of office staff. Builds resentment. Also makes for high turn-over rate and causes workers to not care about the product theyre making.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Phoenix Packaging Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Time home with your family ment a lot. The employees you work with are great.

    Cons

No advancement, once you start at material handler you can't move up. Favoritism, they punish the people that work and let the people that don't just go on.

    Advice to Management

Quit showing favoritism to the employees that kiss your butt. Americans can do the same job that the Colombians you bring in can do.

I worked at Phoenix Packaging Group (More than a year)

    Pros

decent salary when compared to like positions at other companies.
work days and hours allow employees plenty of time at home with family

    Cons

the point system punishes employees even when there is a legitimate excuse for an absence.

management tends to listen to rumors as if they are fact which gives a narrow and one sided view of a potential problem.

    Advice to Management

    Only facts matter
more transparency between upper management and entry employees
call employees out when they are not living up to their potential and help them become better employees through training and coaching.

I worked at Phoenix Packaging Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits used to be the best reason to work at Phoenix Packaging, however in 2015 they started taking benefits away...401k. They also changed insurance plans mid-year and made employees pay more for less. I guess the only pro that was still there when I left was the laborers...they are great people who work hard.

    Cons

Management team is terrible. They don't give a crap about their employees and only give a crap about themselves and thier produxtion numbers. Hey idiots...when the laborers leave who do you think will run those million dollar machines? Certainly not the management team, as they dont even know how to turn on the machines let alone run it. It basically comes down to this: if you aren't an imported member of their klan, you don't stand a chance in that company. Favoritism runs through the plant like crazy. And God forbid you have an opinion that differs from managements...you get ousted.

    Advice to Management

Listen to you employees - the laborers who actually do the work; not the idiot management team who retaliates and forms thier little klan groups against other non-management employees.

    Pros

There are no pros that I can think of.

    Cons

    - Leadership is a dictatorship and has no idea what he is doing for the USA market
    - If you are not Colombian you will have a very hard time being heard
    - Lack of talented employees
    - No corporate plan for USA and no clear direction
    - Benefits and pay sub par to other USA companies

    Advice to Management

    - Don't even know where to start
