    Pros

Everyone is willing to do whatever they can to help team prosper

    Cons

Poor management skills when problems arise. Look to scapegoat new hires.

    Advice to Management

Develop fedback loop. Train new managers. Train new hires.

I worked at Precision Countertops (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Market share in their niche. A lot of resources used internally for advancing the customer sales cycle. Longer term Player

    Cons

Company Direction is a problem. Downgrading their sales staff to Measure techs. Middle and upper management are not focused on the customer, but rather to internal issues only.

I worked at Precision Countertops full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of the employees are nice to work with but most would throw you under the bus to keep themselves from getting in trouble.

    Cons

No accountability. Lack of true leadership. Numerous mistakes that the PC has to respond to. Overly stressed atmosphere. They call it a Project Coordinator but it is really just another name for Customer Service Rep. The pay is mediocre compared to the work level that is expected. They cut your hours after the Holidays but in some cases the workload does not shift that much. Very high turnover. Not allowed an opinion or to vent if needed. Overly judgmental and constant threats of being fired for saying anything negative by management. -

    Advice to Management

Get people in management who truly know how to manage people. Most of your managers are egomaniacs with very snotty attitudes. Allow your employees to vent if they need to. This is a very stressful environment that does not need to. I walked out without any notice because I got tired of getting threatened every other day. You should start fresh or make your managers take courses in employee relations. You are definitely behind the times when it comes to dealing with customers and employees.

    Pros

Working out of my house, being able to think outside the box, working with people, and representing a reputable company.

    Cons

No company is perfect. There are many things that could change and make the company more profitable, but change is hard to come by when you are making money with the status quo.

I worked at Precision Countertops full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bi-weekly paychecks directly deposited to your account. Company provides all the tools and supplies required to do the job.

    Cons

Not much support for personal growth, but they do watch you for improvements. Don't even dream of getting a raise. The only way (sometimes) I have seen people get a raise is if they are ready to go elsewhere but management needs you because they lack workers in general.

    Advice to Management

Provide incentives for employees to grow their skills. If you set up a track for growth people would happily take it to improve their earning potential.

I have been working at Precision Countertops full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good co-workers, good products and services to sell and be proud of.

    Cons

Lack of leadership, no communication between departments, antiquated pay structure, no room for growth, no thought to employee moral

    Advice to Management

Remember what made the company grow in the first place, the employees who sacrificed to build it.

    Pros

Highly aggressive and professional sales staff. Nearly unlimited rescoures and business connections.

    Cons

Serious lack of accountability and unwillingness to improve processes in manufacturing. Worried more on install deadline and numbers than product improvements.

    Advice to Management

Have employee reviews of management. Imrove leaderships communication. Give a once a year address to employees from ownership.( Its good know which direction the company is moving toward.)

    Pros

    respect towards employees
    good work/life balance
    good focus on customer service
pretty hard to get fired; kinda like a government job in that and many other respects

    Cons

    no growth opportunities
no recognition or reward for success
no communication of vision from leadership
no real communication from leadership one way or the other about anything

    Advice to Management

Leadership is about communicating vision. You achieve success by motivating teams. This company has neither a clearly communicated vision nor anything close to what can be called "Success", largely because the teams are not motivated.

I worked at Precision Countertops full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Regular employees and some of the middle management are honest hard working people. Most of the Department Heads have no training for their job except one or two.

    Cons

Lack of accountability with both project coordinators but also department heads. Frantic running around could be solved with logical policies. Fly by the seat of your pants by management makes for stressed out employees. Certain department heads have no training in their department and make decisions and are supported by upper management because they are friends, there is not a clear line of upper management and employee relationships. When half the staff at corporate are Facebook friends and those are the people who are mentioned with every atta boy... it looks suspicious.

    Advice to Management

You are loosing business and employees of good caliber because of favoritism and nepotism. much of this is attempted to be hidden but it is plain to see. When you put all your eggs in one basket, those eggs start cracking.
