There is significantly more pressure on the India team. Despite consistently delivering output that is often greater than that of the US team, this contribution is not always adequately recognized, with the common justification being that this is the purpose of the India office. US analysts are more likely to be given leadership opportunities, while Indian analysts with similar or even greater experience often continue handling day-to-day operational work. There also appears to be a difference in how mistakes are perceived—errors by US analysts are generally treated more leniently, whereas even a single mistake by an Indian analyst may be escalated as a critical issue. Some internal stakeholders in member-facing roles can at times be unprofessional or rude in their interactions with the India team. Work is frequently shifted to Indian analysts, contributing to an already heavy workload. The company also tends to hire only as employees leave, rather than expanding headcount proactively, despite the benchmarking department being consistently overburdened. More recently, the organization appears to have recognized its heavy dependence on the India office and has started expanding operations in Mexico. However, these hires seem to occur primarily as replacements for employees leaving the India office rather than as additional capacity.
