It is unfortunate for everyone when a fundraiser/executive director fails to succeed. This is true at Project C.U.R.E. as is the case in any nonprofit organization. Some of our fundraisers do exceedingly well, and others are challenged as was this team member. We will continue to work to make good hiring decisions and create opportunities for success. We wish this employee the best of luck in their next assignment and thank them for their feedback.

Pros

Mission-driven non-profit organization helping tens of thousands of people annually. Amazing support from staff and volunteers. Growth and development opportunities within organization. Solid investments in new systems to streamline projects and enhance visibility and communication. Supportive and knowledgeable leadership.

Cons

Lean staff means a lot of tasks require interns and volunteers, and this may impact work-life balance. High-stress environment due to nature of work (global relief efforts, disaster relief), which may not be for everyone. Benefits could be a bit better, especially PTO and a 401k match.

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. We at Project C.U.R.E. appreciate your insights. Project C.U.R.E. is unique in that we are a volunteer centered organization. We have found that people who are motivated by passion and purpose can change the world, whether or not they are paid in cash. Our team, including paid staff, volunteers and interns, accomplish amazing things every day. We are very proud of the people who are a part of this mission. Project C.U.R.E. is also unique in that we still cover 100% of the employee's health, vision, dental and disability insurance and we provide a small life insurance benefit as well. Our PTO equates to over a month of paid time, and Project C.U.R.E. offers a 403(b) plan which is what nonprofits provide for employees. We annually compare our benefit package to other nonprofit organizations in the same arena and similar geographies to make sure we are competitive in that space.
