Pros

Getting to work with a wide variety of clients with extreme trauma, drug/alcohol addiction. Tons of diversity and very rewarding as far as the clients go.

Cons

CEO's are out for themselves and money. They make bad business choices that not only effect the employees, but also the clients. Client's families even see how bad the decisions are, thats how pathetic it is. The upper management team will have you do anything to pass inspection or when inspection is failed they will then make stuff up to pass on an action plan. They will go as low as falsifying documents, they just don't care. At one point many years ago this company may have been doing good things, but they have lost all hope and now are completely driven by the CEO's need of money and to start new things that he knows nothing about. It is really a disturbing company.

Pros

Tempting salary Opportunity to make a huge difference (if allowed) Good experience for a new clinician to learn what NOT to do Attempts to meet a huge service delivery gap for the community

Cons

Questionable professional ethics Back-stabbing work environment Conflicting directives and poor managers “Divide and conquer” management mentality Overextended scope for service delivery Uneducated ignorant management bias toward a community in a different geographical location from corporate office Misrepresentations to insurance carriers about capabilities Irresponsible admissions and oversight Clinical inconsistencies present significant threats to independent licensure and/ or masters level training for licensure Large turnover in clinical staff Focus is on meeting agency overhead and financial profitability instead of providing a quality service for an underserved population.

Pros

Working with a great team and having lasting relationships with members. Also a good experience working with various diagnosis.

Cons

CEO and upper management changing ideas with the wind with no empirical data to support their decisions. They claim they are member first but treat all of the first line staff badly and knowing they can because they pay more than most organizations. Staff leaves or is understaffed which effects the mood and recovery of the members. Also they don't follow their own values and encourage staff to create false documents to pass inspections. They wouldn't have to do this if staff didn't have so many over lapping documents to complete. Upper management has a lack of Mental Health and Co-Occurring experience leading to a divide between staff and management.
