I worked at R&R Partners full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nice building
    Nice coworkers while in prison

    Cons

Do as I say----- NOT as I do leadership
Every quarter there is a new flavor of the month hired to save the world. 6-12 months later that person sucks.
Constantly changing directions without finishing anything.
Same BAD leaders for 10+ years who everyone hates are called out as successes at group meetings
NOT female friendly organization. Was told "If you have to pick your kid up after work - find another job".
Time clock mentality. NO flexible work arrangements.
Hypocrites. Promotes Netflix model BUT acts like a 1950's factory. News flash. Netflix employees are rewarded for RESULTS not by how many hours they "appear" to be working.
Pay sucks unless you are a VP or partner

    Advice to Management

The leaders should actually READ the Netflix model they spout. ACTUALLY VISIT Netflix.
Doing long hours and decent work at Netflix will actually get you fired. In contrast doing amazing work and decent hours will get you promoted at Netflix.
    FEAR is not a motivator!!!!!!!
    Technology. Yes, please. It's 2017!!!!
STOP contradicting yourself on EVERYTHING! Listening to everything. Yes. We are.

I have been working at R&R Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-great benefits that are affordable for a family
-wonderful co-workers and people in middle management
-great office culture and happy environment

    Cons

    - Senior management does not follow proper process or protocol as individuals in these positions absolutely should. Disappointing.
    - No training whatsoever
    - Low pay compared to SLC averages for this market
    - Favoritism is a problem and raises and promotions are given on this basis alone, not for your performance or meeting and exceeding the specific expectations for your role
    - Cliqueishness
    - Current structure of departments at R&R SLC makes room for growth limited

    Advice to Management

As leadership, follow proper process or protocol instead of making decisions without knowing all of the information. Reward and recognize those who are doing their job well. Have an actual streamlined training program. Be more transparent about measurements of success and don't promote based on personal preference alone.

"(Mostly) Great Place To Work In Las Vegas"

I have been working at R&R Partners full-time

    Pros

Note that these comments apply to working in the LV office. I can't really speak to the environment in the other locations. The pros are:
    --Interesting work, clients and colleagues.
--Good work/life balance for the most part, but being an ad agency there are times when you need to work nights/weekends for your clients.
--Laid-back and flexible culture. Like a casual dress code, parties, the ability to work from home when you need to, etc.

    Cons

One big drawback that keeps me from giving R&R 5 stars: unfortunately, the laid-back approach bleeds into career planning and staff development. The review process differs from department to department, and even from manager to manager within departments. Career paths and succession planning seem non-existent. The result is that promotions, raises, and bonuses all appear to be based on your social/political standing as much as performance.

    Advice to Management

It's possible to keep the informal culture & still be transparent and serious about career development!

    - Opportunity to advance

    I worked at R&R Partners full-time

    Pros

Some smart and devoted teams. The good ones end up realizing the leadership issues and leave as soon as they can.

    Cons

Lack of leadership. Lack of training. Lack of knowledgeable directors and vps guiding accounts they have no idea about. Favoritism. Much more that most intelligent professionals will not tolerate and leave the company.

    Advice to Management

Clean house on a VP level and filter it down to the Directors. Issues begin at the top and trickle down making working there almost impossible.

    Pros

Creative mentorship at R&R Salt Lake is stellar. As an intern, they ask you to contribute on their biggest accounts. They treat you like an equal and listen to your ideas as if you were a seasoned creative. People are genuine and, as a budding creative, that can make all the difference.

    Cons

Sometimes they run out of free M&Ms? That never happened when I was there, but I'm sure it's happened before.
