Pros
The projects are very interesting, especially on the pharma side. However, if pharmaceutical modeling interests you, you should look inside the industry itself. The people here are smart and have built some lasting customer relationships.
Cons
It is apparent from the other reviews that everyone experiences the same problems here. Mostly, the management environment is extremely poor and has been for a decade since the company expanded beyond 5 people. Aside from many problems, the founders realize that they have very little management experience but refuse to do anything about it. It mostly manifests in the form of personal and career development, something that no one at the company cares about. Knowledge is not passed on until it is absolutely necessary and no one goes to conferences or actively networks with professionals. The company environment is one of constant panic-mode project execution but with haphazard project planning and management. The executives do not want to be managers, they want to execute projects and will never relinquish control over the details of projects that other people are executing. They do not put forth clear expectations but internally expect that you will do projects exactly as they would, all the while not understanding why you cant do the project in the amount of time that they think they could. The compensation is well below par and benefits are almost non-existent. This is a consulting environment without the benefit of a consulting salary or strong leadership.

Pros
-Interesting Business model - Good design for Modeling mechanisms especially in Biopharma - Some smart people - Loyal customers that trust the results/advice
Cons
- No growth potential at all - all decisions are taking by two or few peoples - Management is horrible and you can be put under pressure whenever the CEO is stressed.

Pros
I honestly can't think of one positive. 8 people working for a deranged tyrant.
Cons
I think Bear Grylls should host one episode of Man vs Wild and see if he could survive working in this cesspool. Run away from Glen Ko. What a bizarre individual.

Pros
some interesting modeling skills but not much else
Cons
what a strange place - three guys doing some work and a crazy ceo who just tries to intimidate people all day (and night) long. run from this company

Pros
some decent modeling capabilities but limited potential for growth - dysfunction to the n'th degree
Cons
Glen is the worst manager I have ever had the displeasure of working with. He could ruin any company and it amazes me that the 6-7 people working there stay and put up with such a horrible work environment. Customers run away from him and know that he is limited -socially and professionally. Horrible culture.

Pros
reasonably impressive for such a small group of people - 6-7 engineers actually doing work
Cons
"We only work with big pharma and large energy and chemical companies." I am sure that 100 billion dollar firms have just as much talent if not more than RES does. There are only 6 or 7 engineers to work on projects. One person works on all the E&C projects and a couple guys work on the pharma side. This is a joke. We need to hire people that will stay longer than 6 months.

Pros
Flexible schedule and some accomplished co-workers
Cons
Glen Ko is unprofessional and one of the most obtuse and abusive of CEO's. He will focus for days on a simple draft email and while he has no comprehension of basic grammar and syntax will berate a given individual over simple sentence structure. When he does not understand a given theme/concept, he becomes argumentative and belligerent. OCD rules at RES. The turnover rate is ridiculous for such a small company. People either leave in disgust or are forced out because they ask to be treated fairly. Quite a few clients pick up on this dysfunction and is testament to the lack of growth. The few people that are able to work in this type of environment simply have few options and do their best to adapt.

Pros
Bright but jaded individuals work there
Cons
Very bizarre atmosphere - they had 90% turnover in the part time I was there. People just left the company and it was directly linked to the leader Glen

Pros
Some very capable and accomplished people to work with.
Cons
This is a very small company - 10 employees. Glen Ko (CEO) is limited and not the smartest person in the room. He is very insecure and becomes verbally abusive when he does not understand a given theory/topic/stance. If this company was of any size, the board/PE investors/etc. would remove him immediately. The only people that last are hired just out of graduate school and have had the worst experiences pursuing their PhD. They have no basis to judge what is acceptable. Once hired, say goodbye to creativity and collaborative pursuits.

Cons
Management is very difficult to get along with and you need an advanced degree to even get recognized
