I have been working at Reiser full-time

    Pros

The company is growing and adding employees in areas of need. Great co-workers and office culture. Construction is almost complete on the new area which is extremely exciting!

    Cons

None - a great place to work and grow!

I have been working at Reiser full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I had a wonderful experience from the interview process to being hired. Very professional and friendly. I am extremely satisfied with my decision to come work for Reiser.

    Cons

Non that I can think of at this time.

    Pros

The pay is actually pretty decent. Nice coworkers.

    Cons

As another reviewer noted, they run on a culture of fear. The owner/president is possibly a sociopath, he rants & raves and screams at people. He's also a luddite and everything is on paper - you've never seen so many filing cabinets in your life.

    Advice to Management

    I wouldn't waste my breath.

    I worked at Reiser full-time

    Pros

Very focused on serving the customer. Do what's right for the customer, even if its expensive, and you have done the right thing.

    Cons

Do not develop their people. Ancient systems (still on paper). Owners are dedicated but don't know any better than paper systems.

    Advice to Management

    Modernize

I worked at Reiser full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some good people. Employees work very hard!

    Cons

The EA position is filled quite frequently due to the lack of direction and nature of the individual it reports to. The position has been filled at least 6 times in 5 years.

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to fill this position. It is better to share the work with the Admins that have been there for years rather than bringing someone in.

    Pros

Hands on engineering work. Small team environment that fosters creativity. Fun and interesting projects that are rewarding to work on.

    Cons

The projects are all very similar and is more mixing and matching a handful of pre-developed technologies to fit the application at hand.

    Advice to Management

I did not interface much with upper management

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Reiser full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Free food!
I joined and was told that I didn't need to 're-invent the wheel', just needed to 'mould and shape'
After 6 months I told the boss that there were no wheels and I was done. 2 months later I left. Dropped the car off after my notice period and was amazed how down everybody looked. They remarked how happy I looked - go figure.

    Cons

    1. Only 20 days holiday
    2. Old fashioned working hours and flexibility
    3. Service engineers were all prima-donnas - huge egos for fixing sausage machines. Few had any real skills
    4. Fear culture
    5. Technophobic - Never seen a company with so many filing cabinets
    6. Salesmen always knew better, gave it the big 'I am' then blame everyone for their failings
    7. Do you really want more?

    Advice to Management

    Get some
The boss from the U.S. Seemed a decent guy
