I worked at Relativity Media full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great colleagues who have tons of experience and are willing to teach you the film business, production, financing and distribution.

    Cons

Mismanagement starts at top. Many lower executives do not get the credit/promotion they deserve. Too much turnover in company which shows instability at top.

I worked at Relativity Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The environment was really laid back, and everyone in my department got along really well. Corporate threw really great team building events, and the work/life balance was great.

    Cons

Not a lot of communication between management and assistants. My boss always made me feel bad if I needed a sick day or asked to use my vacation days.

I worked at Relativity Media full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked here for under a year before mass lay offs occurred in Marketing and Operations. I was laid off at that time. Prior to that I felt that although there were annoying politics here and there, my position was structured clearly and I found everyone to be great. A lot of changes were happening at the time, including office moves, but for the most part I worked with minimal supervision and my supervisor empowered me to do my job.

    Cons

A lot of changes were happening but I wouldn't call it a con really. There was some disorganization and a few egos, but thats to be expected when a company acquires another and offices are merged.

    Advice to Management

Don't really have any. I hope things are better situated now.

I worked at Relativity Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

it was very interesting and exciting to work here. The employees were great here. Plenty opportunity to learn about other departments.

    Cons

Since Relativity is so small you are doing the job of 3 different people at a normal sized studio. There was no work life balance.

    Advice to Management

I would encourage management to hire within the company more often. All employees should get a review after 1 year no matter the level.

I have been working at Relativity Media full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Rebuilding, and at the ground floor. The company seems to be reinventing in a new way and it's exciting to be a part of that.

    Cons

Uncertainties, unclear structure. The operations and structure can be inconsistent. The is not a clear career path, so you have to see an opportunity and execute on it.

    Advice to Management

    Effective communication.

I have been working at Relativity Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company had good overtime pay. There was a fun community among the assistants.

    Cons

The management does not value employee growth and there are a lot of office politics that you have to deal with.

    Advice to Management

Focus on building a strong, collaborative team.

I worked at Relativity Media (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tommy Gargotta could turn the ship around.

    Cons

The movies suck. The marketing department is full of vipers out to backstab even as they do not even do their jobs.

    Pros

There are none.. if anything looks good, about this company... it just smoke and mirrors.

    Cons

Too many to list , the biggest issue is that this company's CEO is an unethical crook.
    Don't just take my word....
Before considering any type of relationship with this company.. just do a quick search for news on Relativity Media.

    Advice to Management

Clean House and be honest with perspective employees.
