I have been working at RenWeb full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work environment is great. No dress code, so you can wear what's comfortable. The product itself is great and it provides a good service for schools. Everyone is really nice and they have regular employee events like cookouts. Management is great, respectful and empowering.

    Cons

Not too many cons. If you're in the call center, then it's a call center job. But there are opportunities for advancement. It is a cubicle work environment which isn't the greatest, but it's not all that bad.

    Advice to Management

More opportunities for advancement would be good. There are some, but it would help to have more defined career paths.

    Pros

This company used to be an amazing place to be part of. Everyone loved their job, there weren't many things to complain about, and you could tell you were valued.

    Cons

Higher level leadership took over a bigger role and started making changes that are ruining the company internally. A person that is power hungry, their way or the highway, and a micromanager was put in charge and instantly started changing everything. They have single handedly ruined everything great about this company. Numerous employees including those that had been with the company for a very long time have quit...

    Advice to Management

Don't try to fix what isn't broken! Take care of your employees! Get off your high horse! Realize the problem (YOU) and stop trying to make it your way or the highway! Employees and lower level leadership have been successful prior to all the changes. If you can't trust your employees to do what is right and cannot prove that they are doing anything wrong, then look in the mirror and realize you aren't worthy of being...

I have been working at RenWeb full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The pay is decent, local management is nice, and dress code fairly relaxed.

    Cons

Remote management needs to learn what the actual low-level associates have to do to meet their demands. The high management claims to listen to the schools but they only make all sides "go through hoops" just to give them their School Information Systems database.

    Advice to Management

Please listen to your employees and let them offer opinions instead of just mandating things and assuming you know the correct answers.

    Pros

Ability to start entry level and learn new software

    Cons

Poor management and a lot of advancement to unqualified employees vs true performance.

    Advice to Management

Have HR sysytems in place and make your customers satisfaction your number one goal and reward the employees who provide that. Limit the favoritism and don’t put pressure on employees to rush off phone and don’t reward based the number of calls each employee takes but reward based on customer satisfaction ratings

    Pros

They give you above average pay and great benefits to try to offset any negatives. Management is great..but who wouldn't be with nice, quiet offices separate from the rest of the cattle? Free fruit on Tuesdays

    Cons

It's a major cube farm. Moooooooooo! Not very motivating environment for the day to day. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. The air thermostat is located in the nice, small office area so when management chills themselves out and turns the temp up, it burns up everyone else in the rest of the building. There's way too many people in one building. Restrooms can be scary when you realize how many...

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the cube farms...especially for your most relied upon IT staff. If you want them to care for you, care for them. Build more individual offices. Don't limit team building events just to managers. You have employees that want to participate in the fun too...even if they have to kick in a few bucks.

    Pros

    Good customer service and marketing.

    Cons

Stolen IP was rewarded with promotion. Could not properly configure a development machine; when problem pointed out, no steps taken to fix; created compounding problems through time. Product is poorly designed and implemented with four different types of technologies. No plan on the ground for addressing problems. Problems currently being perpetuated b/c of poor planning. Pros

You are treated as a valuable part of the company. Most everyone knows your name (including the owners) and genuinely cares about your success.

      Cons

Upward mobility is limited as the company is still growing and the upper management positions are limited.

      Pros

Great, relaxed environment. People are very friendly and the work is interesting. The owners of the company are visible, involved and genuinely care about the employees.

      Cons

The most available position is in technical support, so if you don't like tech support this probably isn't for you.
