Pros

- nice office location - WFH - nice colleagues - COO is super cool and probably one of the most sane people here

Cons

- really unprofessional and low skilled managers - HR is given little power to make necessary changes here - women get lower salaries and being an abusive person gets you promoted Management has low and sometimes even no experience from game development which leads to us having to be stressed out constantly

Pros

There are a lot of people who care about what they do, some of them are very hard working and talented. People are generally very kind and considerate. Good work/life balance.

Cons

There is a lack of people with high level experience and knowledge to steer others towards the right direction. Placeholder's get pushed without much consideration or planning. A few problematic employees act irresponsibly because they lack supervision. You may receive assignments unpredictably. CCO is not easy to work with. Low salaries and a surprise layoff.

Pros

+ The people have always been great, there is a lot of talent and passion internally + Pretty laid back and loosey-goosey if you like that sort of thing + If you enjoy a more loose structure where you are allowed to make a difference for the game project, Resolution is generally a good place to work

Cons

- Very poor handling of reports about problematic employees - Using genAI in workflows is encouraged and having negative opinions about genAI means you might be forced into silence - Not much care goes into employee's personal development - No titles, leads are internally appointed but have no real titles or educations to learn the proper role, no juniors to seniors, no pay boosts for upgraded roles - After layoffs the culture has gone down significantly and little has been done to mend it - Problems about lack of company structure have been raised for years but little has been done to fix any of the issues
