    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Rjm Engineering full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Open work space, freedom to work at your own pace, good benefits outside of health/dental/vision, nobody looking over your shoulder all the time

    Cons

poor management, poor scheduling, not respected, not paid enough, high turnover

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging and don't laugh at people when they try to negotiate salary, not a good way to raise moral

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Rjm Engineering full-time

    Pros

good hourly rate for entry level, free food, nice office building

    Cons

its a very flat company so don't plan on growing. Senior leadership after the company was sold is extremely weak, shows poor communication, and at times is rude.

    Advice to Management

consider adding a mentoring program, and take into consideration employee's interests and abilities.

I worked at Rjm Engineering as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

They were very kind and accommodating. It was a great learning experience, and I was able to work on various projects in different sectors of Civil Engineering from Traffic Engineering to Structural Engineering. Even as an intern I felt very included in the company, like a member of the team.

    Cons

The Structural department is very small and mainly does small structure inspection reports. Due to a lack of communication many reports had to be rewritten multiple times.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Great benefits, fair pay, and good coworkers.

    Cons

The company is poorly run. Needless weekly meetings that always run well over an hour. Marketing will say or do anything to get a contract, including resumes that aren't accurate. Engineers get placed on projects they don't really know how to do. There is no HR at all.

    Advice to Management

Most of the problems stem from the 'business' side of the company. Hire someone who knows how to manage that.

Really great company to work for with great people

    Cons

From a contractor's point of view there are no down sides
