I worked at Rjm Engineering as an intern (Less than a year)
They were very kind and accommodating. It was a great learning experience, and I was able to work on various projects in different sectors of Civil Engineering from Traffic Engineering to Structural Engineering. Even as an intern I felt very included in the company, like a member of the team.
The Structural department is very small and mainly does small structure inspection reports. Due to a lack of communication many reports had to be rewritten multiple times.
Great benefits, fair pay, and good coworkers.
The company is poorly run. Needless weekly meetings that always run well over an hour. Marketing will say or do anything to get a contract, including resumes that aren't accurate. Engineers get placed on projects they don't really know how to do. There is no HR at all.
Advice to Management
Most of the problems stem from the 'business' side of the company. Hire someone who knows how to manage that.
I have been working at Rjm Engineering as a contractor (More than a year)
Really great company to work for with great people
From a contractor's point of view there are no down sides
