Fun Job, Great Pay

Pros

Endless amounts of overtime and stand-by pay when weather does not cooperate. All travel logistics are prearranged and paid for, plus a generous food per diem that is added to your paycheck whether you spend it or not. Excellent training and good company communication.

Cons

You live on the road for 4-5 weeks while on a job, then home for two weeks. You must be ready to go if the weather changes midday. Redundant amounts of daily reporting/tracking. Working conditions are not always ideal, long days are usually needed to complete work, and you work with fiberglass and harsh chemicals.

Pros

The people at Rope Partner are the best part. It's a great team and by and large a fun work environment. The company is run well and has good culture of development. You make a lot of money while out in the field, especially if you come in with prior wind or composite experience. By and large they put you up in very nice accommodations while on the road. Major plus is you can live anywhere in the country.

Cons

It is a travel intensive job. That being said they do a really good job of trying to be flexible and work with you for time off that you really want. The main draw back though is unless you are willing to work long tours in the field with only short breaks at home in between your pay on an annual basis averages out to be quite low.
