I worked at STA part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The kids are amazing. I formed a special bond with my pre k kids. Even though I had issues with a couple of my other runs, they still ask about me (since I’ve moved).

    Cons

The fact that there’s no cameras to show any wrongdoings by staff and of the children. Bullying is a real thing that needs prof to get any sort of action to resolve the issue.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff. Put cameras on every bus. For proof of wrongdoings. Put cameras on the front and side of the buses for cars running through the stop sign and lights.

    Pros

    Nothing that comes to mind.

    Cons

    Hostile work environment between employees.
Supervisor is loud and is a bully.
Management and Human Resources do not resolve or address issues between employees.
No room for growth just doing the same repititve work and not using your brain.

    Advice to Management

Listen to concerns that employees have and try to resolve them.

I worked at STA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many companies claim to be family friendly, but few really are. After my first interview upper management from STA called to ask me how my son felt about his father traveling for work. STA does not just claim to be family oriented, it’s woven into their business practices.

    Cons

For me the only negative I found was the location of the position I really wanted. I have no complaints whatsoever, just an incredible company staffed with incredible employees!

    Advice to Management

Mr. Izzi maintain exactly what you do and how you do it. As long as you continue conducting interviews as you did mine, STA will surely be staffed with some of the best and brightest. I immensely enjoyed the entire process as well as meeting all the wonderful people which STA employs. .

I have been working at STA part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can earn a CDL-B license and get needed experience to give yourself an opportunity to go elsewhere for a CDL-B job if you can't drive full-time here or get a better paying job at this bus company.

    Cons

School bus driving jobs only average about 25 hours per week. Good luck getting that much work over the 9 weeks of summer break, The week from around Christmas Eve thru New Year's Day, Easter break, or the week of Thanksgiving.

    Advice to Management

Try to listen to your employees side of the story. Don't always take the customers side.

    Pros

Employees who work here give it 100% however management does not care about it's people or customers only the$$$$ and do not share. Favoritism plays a big role.

    Cons

Management and nepotism is fair game. You are expected to give your all for no rewards. HR is a Joke and upper management hides behind everything and anything.

    Advice to Management

Get a Real HR department or many more law suites will follow.
