    Pros

This is a company that truly cares about its employees & making sure everyone is well taken care of. You are treated as a responsible adult, they frequently ask if everything is ok and if you are happy. Truly a great company! Flexibility in hours, great benefits.

    Pros

Upper level management cares about their employees well-being by providing rewards/recognition when it is earned.

    Cons

Company that came out of being a small business and now competes against much larger defense contracting firms such as Booz Allen Hamilton, SAIC, GDIT, etc. means that pay and benefits may not be as high or good as the larger companies.

    Advice to Management

Keep concentrating on your people and they will work hard for you!!!

I worked at Sabre Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Sabre has a great internal culture that fosters strong working relationships and teamwork. Due to Sabre's large business processes/structure and small business atmosphere, there's a genuine "family" culture. They provide external training that is deemed pertinent to your position and will benefit your career.

    Cons

Management is difficult to communicate with and goals/objectives are not established at the onset of employment.

Salaries are below average and informal training and mentorship is sparse.

    Advice to Management

Defined career & growth paths and competitive salaries need to be established to help retain talent. Added responsibilities outside of the initial scope of a position should be met with comparable compensation.

    Pros

Leadership is very aware of their people and don't treat people like numbers. Like most companies primarily in the federal contracting arena there are cost pressures being forced by the government but the company has always been very transparent about it and has gone out of their way to make accommodations for individual employees when warranted. Quite a diverse workforce as well. Customer and employee interactions are very open and transparent and people really do have their customer's bests interest in mind. I have never felt pressure to cut any corner or sacrifice quality for the sake of the bottom line. Very accessible management that will always listen to an issue or opportunity. Not every company has the resources to take action but I've never had a problem getting my voice heard or generating interest in something new. Wish I could make a 4 1/2 star rating because the company is great but there are still a few areas for improvement.

    Cons

Not as many opportunities to push new technologies as I'd like, but that is always a challenge due to the the nature of federal contracting. The communication channels between people working in the same disciplines is mostly left up to employees to initiate (which some people like) but they don't have forums or birds-of-a-feather type initiatives to encourage collaboration between groups.

    Advice to Management

Provide more tools and opportunities that encourage collaboration within disciplines as well as across the workforce. Adopt new technologies faster and offer more social opportunities that are open to all employees.
