Pros

-there is a sandwich shop right next door

Cons

- the WORST codebase I have ever seen in my 10 years as a software developer, I won't even attempt to describe it. - product is about 95% technical debt, no will to fix this - outdated technologies - high turnover in staff, especially software development - out in the middle of nowhere

Pros

It's difficult to think of any positive remarks to make, other than many of the people were friendly and fun to be around. There is potential to make a lot of positive impact in some areas.

Cons

The company was mired by archaic approaches to many technical challenges. There was no real appetite for change, and when it did occur, the pace was very slow. Too much control over various areas was exercised by too few people, making it difficult to get things done.

Pros

- If you show a good aptitude then there are good opportunities for promotion and salary raises - Good work life balance (no pressures regarding deadlines) - Perks gradually improving - Colleagues provide friendly atmosphere

Cons

- The founder oversees too many responsibilities - Hired too may mediocre staff (and struggle to retain the good staff) - Code base needs lots of improvement and uses lots of relatively old technologies
