I have been working at Sefas Innovation full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The people on the team are very technically savvy and their willingness to help/teach has made a great impact on my professional development. Also, just generally a fun crowd to be around. Good benefits package. Company has a growth mindset.

    Cons

Office space is a bit retro.

I worked at Sefas Innovation full-time

    Pros

Coworkers at the Burlington site are highly approachable and easy to get along with. Great place to start practicing your French accent too! Sefas' office is located next to the Burlington Mall and Lahey Hospital, and close to several major routes, so commuting is easy. If you like working on printing solutions, then this is a good place to latch onto. Most of the product utilizes Python language and you will learn about every possible printing concept in the market.

    Cons

The company is teetering. Working in sales here will constitute of you getting shellacked, belittled, and isolated into a professional development corner. Sefas’ sales teams have high turnover and are the proverbial scapegoats. The previous members were recently let go--even though they received zero training in the technology. If they pursue a marketing coordinator in the future, I would advise you to steer clear (the former marketing manager was stymied in all activities and left quickly). You will most likely work under a power hungry tyrant that seeks to impose hismastery of printing technology and make you feel inferior to him. Do not be swayed by his coercive pitches, because they will end up being long and drawn-out lies, especially about your role in the organization. This is an individual who is tainting the entire organization and bringing the company to a complete standstill. His affinity for micromanaging his staff is sickening. His inability to dispense meaningful work is as worse as his compulsive need to comment on every drop of ink that comes across his desk. From a software engineering side, the work is split out so that you will not get a full understanding of the product, so finding applicable industry work is marginal.

I have been working at Sefas Innovation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you like working with a small team that you will get to know well then this place is great. Very nice benefits package, 3 weeks of vacation 10 sick days, 10 holiday including 2 floating days. 100% paid for medical, dental, and vision. A decently flexible schedule, I've never been required to work more than an hour or 2 overtime.

    Cons

Some favoritism towards French employees. There are not a lot of different positions at the Boston site. Operates in a very niche Market

"Worst place to work if you are an American citizen"

I have been working at Sefas Innovation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Smart developers but treated badly

    Cons

The above review must have been written by a member of upper management, as they are all French. This is the worst place to work if you are an American Citizen. The French that work in the company are treated far better than the Americans. The French get 6 weeks vacation, the Americans 3. The French are allowed to rollover vacation time at the end of the calendar year, the Americans aren't, and the French are allowed time off for medical appointments, not so for the Americans. In fact, two of the hardest working people I've ever seen were recently let go, simply because they are Americans. Sefas imports French interns from France and pays all their living expenses, rather than provide an internship to someone going to a local college. There is a definite bias against American citizens. The VP of Operations has openly berated many of the Americans, but ignores costly errors from the French workers. Besides the obvious discrimination, this is a poorly run company. There has been ONE new license sale in the past three years. They are surviving off the teat of Citizens Bank and Highmark Health. Once these contracts are up, Sefas in America will be closed.

I have been working at Sefas Innovation full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The working standards are very high and the company aims at deploying the best solutions of the market. There is a lot of diversity and Software Engineers come from all over the world. Because of the origin of the company, there are several French people and it is possible to learn French paid by the company. There is a very strong culture and and there is a lot of team work. Benefits are unmatched for a company of that size: 3 weeks vacation to start + 1 day per year, health care, dental vision paid 100% for the entire family, paid disability, paid tuition, generous number of holidays and sick/personal time, etc.

    Cons

The company has grown a lot these past years and while the company has been continuously hiring for the past 4 years, it creates over-heated situations at times. This is offset but more structure and processes being put in place.
