I have been working at Self Regional Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Nurse Managers generally care and try to make things better

    Cons

    -Chronically short staffed
-Lift equipment is not available and underutilized
-Salary and benefits fall behind other organizations in the area
-upper management is slow to react to problems and their solutions seem to create more work rather than solve the problem

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff like an asset rather than a liability. Efficiency comes at a price and patients can go to Greenville or Columbia for their care and not having staff to answer call lights because we can't staff our floors will drive patients away. It is less costly to keep good staff and pay them better than it is to continually rehire and pay incentive and overtime to the current staff.

    Advice to Management

    Learn a little compassion.

    Pros

Pay tuition and different jobs available for

    Cons

Pay tuition and different jobs available for nurses are available different shifts and different hours . Some of the positions have flexible work environments.

    Advice to Management

I need to work on the lateral violence a monks the nurses it's still not where I feel it should be or could be. The managers really need to take the lead and enforce the policy is already in place sadly sometimes they don't, and it leaves us to sending each other .

    Pros

Great Co-workers and excellent benefit package.

    Cons

Management was horrible and lacked respect for their employees. It seems as if their goal was to find every negative aspect of everybody rather then the positive,

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff better! We all are here to accomplish the same goal and serve the patients.

I worked at Self Regional Healthcare (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers. ECC management outstanding, management above them needs a lot of work

    Cons

High turn over. The more years you work there it's almost like you become a target to find a reason to terminate your employment. Don't really care or have compassion for employees. Work short often

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Don't expect 4 nurses to run and care for a busy emergency room. It's morally wrong and unsafe
