I have been working at SembCorp full-time

    Pros

Good work-life balance, high bonus when economy is good (and of course you must be able to perform as well), people are generally cordial and non-political.

    Cons

Too many senior-level personnel, especially new hires, such that middle-level managers may need to wait for a long time to progress to a more substantial role in the company. Blatant favouritism.

    Advice to Management

Please appreciate those employees who have stayed on for many years. They are the ones who really understand the business well and who are slogging behind the scenes.

    Pros

    Good bonus
    Nice colleagues
    Good work life balance

    Cons

My HOD was a bully and practise obvious favoritism. I was always left out of meetings of which i was involved in, ignored at work, and was never given an appraisal. Basically the boss was using silent treatment to get me to resign. A more conducive way would be to actually tell me upfront if he wasnt happy with my work, but instead he chose the cowardly way of just handing me a dose of silent treatment.

    Advice to Management

    None
