      Pros

      shomi had a great culture and a lot of very smart people. They were just coming through the other side of a transition to agile and things were looking positive when the news came that they were shutting down.

      Cons

      Obviously, the fact that shomi is no longer operating is a big con. They had some things to work on, but a lot of potential.

      Pros

      I made many friends while working here and kept in contact after the demise of the company. Shomi had a viable business plan that would take more than 2 years to grow but the baby was thrown out with the bath water.

      Cons

      When the technology teams grew, shomi started to fall apart as the management started to divide and take sides like a high school popularity contest. When you give millions of dollars to immature leaders to operate a business, it's like giving a child a credit card in a toy store.
