Pros

Casual work environment. Remote work two days a week, flexible hours. Roles are not well define but the people are great. They have no issue cutting people without warning or cause other than their pocket book. They keep the finances close to their chest, so you never know how the company is doing. Soft spoken and kind but don't let that fool you, they are shrewd business people.

Cons

Read the fine print, they only start you will 5-days of PTO for your first year, Read the handbook before you accept an offer. The benefits are dismal but if you get an offer, they will negotiate. Everyone gets the same bonus, so don't work harder than the next guy because it will not matter. They don't allow you to role over PTO and will not reimburse you for remaining PTO and how no issue cutting people right before the end of year Holidays.

Good culture, poor management

Pros

a lot of young professionals at the company made the office culture good. it was fun to collaborate with everyone. lack of structure can be a positive thing because you get to wear many different hats (if it doesn’t burn you out).

Cons

company vision was disjointed and there wasn’t enough transparency for such a small firm. nepotism/favoritism created accountability issues and toxic work environment at times. lack of formal structure caused workflow inefficiencies and supported a “plug and play” approach to roles (expectation of assuming responsibilities without qualifications and/or training). compensation was fine if you fought for it - but employees often found out if they were being underpaid by talking to each other.
