I have been working at Single Digits full-time for more than a year

    Pros

good atmosphere genuinely helpful people fun events (rare) New HR people seem to really want to make a difference

    Cons

Pay is not in line with the market Benefits are not in line with the market stressful time lines some people are not knowledgeable not enough people in departments that really need it Board makes all decisions, a lot of promised things that will never come to fruition

    Advice to Management

Certain departments need an immediate raise. A lot of people are thrown to the wolves immediately and makes the teams suffer. Zero training, its all shadowing. Hold on to employees who don't want to be successful for too long. Too many people working there that I couldn't tell you what they do all day, but certainly bark orders.

I have been working at Single Digits full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Great place to learn the basics of computer networking - Great place to learn how management shouldn't treat their employees

    Cons

    - Pay is insultingly low - Management is in a constant scramble - The call center has about 5 techs staffed even though we service thousands of hotels and MDU - The office is outdated and quite frankly gross is some spots. - Management does not follow any of the rules they expect their workers to follow. - The company has more than doubled in size since 2 years ago yet they have less techs staffed and expect... the same amount of work to be donw - ZERO incentives to go above and beyond - No bonuses - There is never coverage for call outs or PTO, NEVER! I could go on forever.

    Advice to Management

Please start listening to your employees. The pay is insulting and we know how much this company makes. Stop telling your workers to "Stick with us, big changes are happening because we are growing so quickly." When the only change that has come is more work for the same amout of money.

I worked at Single Digits full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great place to start for entry level people. They have an excellent training and support team. They are great for getting training you could not get elsewhere. They have a really good product which ties into many different systems, so it is again a great place to get experience with varied systems.

    Cons

Lower than average pay, but given the level or training given to people who are new it is not so much a negative. Unless you are hired with experience. Then the pay is still low and they will replace you ASAP with someone you trained and let you go with out a second thought. So, bottom line, if new... great, if not, avoid.

    Advice to Management

You overspend on services, that would be a great place to focus on cost cutting initiatives. You have tons of smart people on staff to help replace the costly software services.

    Pros

Location was one for me, great manager, but that changed, was an easy going atmosphere

    Cons

Small staff of 3 meant to handled amillions of dollars of product. You're expected to wear several hats but don't expect recognition or fair pay. Hours will be long. Don't expect certain holidays off and you will work weekends. The buying of other companies will bring in people that will drastically change your environment. They refuse to hire more people for the workload and do not have pay to reflect how much you... will be responsible for. There were significant changes to my work life made. My counterpart was shown favoritism and it was too much to continue to put up with. Just keep looking. Management will not be kind to you.

I worked at Single Digits full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    - If you work in Bedford you will have alot of opportunities to get face time with people and succeed by sucking up -They do offer above average health benefits -Certain individuals in the office are nice and welcoming, others couldn't care less to get to know you because its a pretty busy revolving door of people

    Cons

-If you work remote they could not care less about you -If you work in the MDU space good luck...theres no direction, guidance, or support. The people that work in the Bedford office only care about the hospitality side of the business -Pay is very below industry averages -Culture of the company is nonexistent

    Advice to Management

Allow your new VP of People and Culture to affect change in the company. She has been brought in for a reason. You have some serious issues that need to be solved with your personnel if you intend on fulfilling your goals with your new owners. The constant message of the last 6 months+ has been that the future of the company is MDU...however you don't put the attention on it as you should. The people put in charge... of the MDU group are not leaders and cannot lead people. Good luck in the future

    Pros

    none, literally none at all

    Cons

If you are checking Single Digits reviews because your company was just purchased this is the review for you. Single Digits likes to buy companies in related markets so they can lower their competition (good business plan to be honest), and then they have current employees of that business write technical FAQs to help their support center. They then lay you off so they can outsource your work out of the country. ... They will keep certain backbone technical positions, but they cut everything else. Again, if Single Digits has just bought your company, start looking for another job!
