Pros

Please note that this review is an honest account from a genuine former employee. As a true employee who experienced the company's operations firsthand, I can assure you that my review is based on my personal observations and experiences. I would also like you to approach reviews with a healthy dose of skepticism, particularly when encountering one-star or two-star reviews. In a competitive industry, it is not uncommon for rival companies or individuals to post fake reviews in an attempt to tarnish the reputation of their competitors. I had the incredible privilege of being part of Snobal, an exceptional XR company that continues to exceed expectations and push the boundaries of innovation. The recent announcement of Snobal's plan to go public, in collaboration with Altaverse in Canada for public listing, has opened up a whole new chapter of excitement and reward for the entire team. One of the most astonishing and thrilling aspects of this development is the promise made by Snobal to double the salaries of their dedicated team members. And it's not just a one-time bonus or temporary increase; it's a permanent salary doubling, which means an astounding 5% higher than the market average. This commitment demonstrates Snobal's unwavering dedication to recognizing the invaluable contributions of its talented employees. Throughout my time at Snobal, I experienced a supportive and collaborative environment where every team member's voice was valued and respected. Even in the midst of challenges faced, such as limited financial resources for tools and plugins, and low-end hardware, Snobal's resourceful culture truly shone through. While these constraints initially posed hurdles, it is a rewarding exercise in showcasing our ability to accomplish extraordinary feats even with limited means. Even when the plugins that were just $30 were not immediately accessible due to budget constraints, it presented us with an opportunity to explore creative workarounds and leverage our collective knowledge to achieve exceptional results. The upcoming public listing of Snobal, facilitated by the partnership with Altaverse, marks an extraordinary chapter in the company's journey. The commitment to doubling salaries showcases Snobal's recognition of its exceptional team members' contributions and sets a new standard for employee compensation. With the promise of increased salary, expanded opportunities, and a resourceful culture, Snobal is poised to soar to new heights, offering an exhilarating and rewarding environment for those seeking to make their mark in the XR industry.

Cons

While Snobal's resourcefulness is commendable, it is unfortunate that due to financial constraints, the acquisition of tools and plugins, some of which were available for as little as $30, was challenging. However, with the promise of double salaries, team members now have the financial means to purchase the tools and plugins they desire, further enhancing their productivity and output. Similarly, the increased income can also be used to invest in new computers, alleviating the issue of slower systems and enabling the team to work with greater efficiency.

Pros

The team, I met and worked alongside some great people.

Cons

Founders are pathological liars. The company has been run into the ground through overcharging clients and delivering no value. Every client listed on their presentations and website are old and have not engaged them a second time. There is no marketing strategy, sales strategy, pricing strategy or comprehension of the market. No competitor analysis has led to major ego overload that remains unchallenged. When compared to other solutions Snobal makes no financial sense. Huge client opportunities are sunk by the CEO for insisting that the poor sales team present obscene fee structures. This has resulted in all but a select few ceasing all communication and interest. Those that do buy a solution, do not buy a second time and those currently in development are just getting screwed over. Contractors have not been paid or forced to take lower fee's, staff were not paid superannuation for months. All being strung along with false promises of deals and investments concluding "next month". I know from a colleague that investor reports were doctored to include unrealistic sales forecasting, this is fraud and the ongoing feel is that this is everyone else's fault but the founders. Impossible deadlines that change every five minutes and clients are paying for functionality that is not yet developed or working. This is marketed as a SaaS platform but this is just not accurate. They do not offer free trials, under the premise that everyone needs to pay to play. In reality, its to avoid people seeing that it does not work. With most of the staff now let go, it is a race to the bottom! Two people are responsible for what is about to be a catastrophic debt write off, hurting a number of people. Current founder attempts is to sell the IP to a 3rd party and take jobs, positioning them to be great entrepreneurs. Nonsense. If you are a client, try reaching out to one of the ex-snobal employees if you have concerns, if the owners do not con some big company out of a few quid, this company will cease trading within months and you will loose your work.
