Pros

SP is an organization where its people are considered as the pillars of the organization and where each employee is an entrepreneur. SP has a warm culture and it values the concept of business partnership. SoftProdigy Development Process provides a learning platform for the employees ensuring their 360 degree feedback and development. It has a lean structure that consists of a mix of experienced and fresh talent which is in the process of constant growth through vertical as well as horizontal growth grids. An employee at SP has an opportunity to explore and learn skills not only in her/his area but across areas. The processes, policies and communication systems are regularly reviewed and updated helping the people managers function in the most effective way. The HR team at SP is proactive and is working constantly to bring in a positive culture of change and skill development as it is backed by the top management that has excellent academic as well as professional background and experience. The recruitment processes are quite competitive as SP is very particular not only in terms of skill but also in terms of selecting the best culture fits. It is an employee friendly organization with transparent and open culture and the focus is on nurturing talent and growing business in order to be ahead of the curve in terms of having happy employees, happy clients and a happy business growth. People Connect and What Next - is the mantra at SP and it revolves around the organizational values. I recommend SP to every candidate who is willing to work hard, walk that extra mile, take ownership, constantly be on the learning curve and never give up! This is the idea of SP that our top management, our people managers and the HR team has built. I have served as Manager HR at SP and this work experience has added a lot of value to my profile in terms of learning, partnering, delivering and being the best form of myself as a professional.

Cons

Availability of talent in terms of some rare skills is a problem. That is mainly a location constraint due to limited talent available in that geographical area pertaining to some rare skills. But our top management and the HR team is constantly working on it and providing the best solutions through networking and also by getting on recruitment board of top universities.

Pros

I have worked at SoftProdigy for almost 2 years. Started working as an intern. Everything was great, my manager, the work pressure not being so much (initially), flexible timings, learning environment, open door policy, diwali bonus, activities (RJ Pankaj came twice) while I was working. The new management is good and working towards making people comfortable with all the changes. You need to have a connect with your immediate senior if you want a smooth ride during your tenure.

Cons

As I gradually moved up came to know of the petty politics that goes on in the company. The team leaders are always on tea break, flouting the rules whereas work suffered due to them. Some piece of advise to the HR department, please start behaving like a HR team, you are the face of the company and should behave as such and start being unbiased in your work. The appraisal cycle went for a toss after the new management came in. People were given an appraisal of only a mere 900 INR after an year, so many left due to that reason. All the experienced employees who were very deserving resigned because of the above reasons and only those who were new or had nowhere to go have stayed.
