I have been working at Softential full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    New technologies to learn
    New products to understand
    Skills keep changing and updating
Great management and peers who can be of tremendous help

    Cons

    Travel frequently
    Long work hours
No one area of expertise as an employee - in other words, you will be a Jack of all trades

    Advice to Management

Please have the hours of work fixed. It's hard to work longer than 10 hrs on most projects. Please keep the salaries more competitive and do reviews more often.

    Pros

You may have to work on a variety of projects.

    Cons

Hardly any communications from top management.

    Advice to Management

Talk (via email is fine) to your employees often. Keep them up-to-date on the gongs-on with regards to the company. A newsletter would be nice. What are the other consultants working on? What opportunities are open?
